Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaA drying rack for pool towels would be handy
Spacious apartment with quality furnishings and kitchen facilities. Second bathroom a bonus although very small in comparison to huge main ensuite. Stunning poolside views and patio. Swim out experience from apartment was fantastic for our family group having book 2 apartments. The resort itself is a wonderful base for exploring Palm Cove and offered great family facilities

AustraliaWifi is the only downside of a stay at Sea Temple - it's virtually non-existent. The in-house wifi is very slow, and perhaps because of Sea Temple's location at one end of Palm Cove - the phone signal is weak and 3G/4G/5G data is also very slow. However, we don't come to stay at Sea Temple to stay connected to the office, so.... who cares really.
Sea Temple is a fabulous resort, with a great location, wonderful facilities, and friendly helpful staff. Our two bedroom appartment had everything we needed for a relaxing stay allowing us to prepare meals ourselves and of course the "Palm Cove restaurant strip" is only minutes away. The pools are excellent, and beautifully warm at this time of year (Oct).

AustraliaPicking up the keys from the other end of Palm Cove was a bit of a hassle and made easiest with a car. We had issues with the door lock malfunctioning and were locked out of the room twice waiting for someone to come and fix it. The swim out area was lovely but didn’t get any direct sun, so was a little cool. We found ourselves using the other areas around the pool more often.
Location was great. Room was large and outlook was lovely.

Australiayou have to go to the other end of palm cove to pick up the key, which they don’t tell you until after you book, also because it’s a private booking the rooms aren’t serviced and you can’t get room service or anything again you don’t find this out until after the booking. we booked two rooms that ended up being on opposite sides of the resort which made it really hard, if the apartment were managed onsite this probably wouldn’t have happened. also please put some tissues in the room as the 1 ply toilet paper was rough.
pool was great room spacious, they also accommodated an early check for one room.

AustraliaEverything was perfect except the pool was not heated & was far too cold for swimming at this time of year (August). Would have liked the main pool to be heated, had to use the kids/lap pool & even that was a little chilly. The day spa had no one at their reception desk, waited over 20 mins to see someone about available treatments & make a booking. Also, not enough sun loungers around the pool area, spent 5 days at the resort & there was never an available sun lounger on any of the days, especially in the AM.
Beautifully presented & clean, fantastic location, friendly reception staff

AustraliaI was confused by the key pick up at a different location - I had no idea I had booked with a separate accommodation provider and not Pullman direct. The key pick up at the Boutique Collection admin office was not fabulous - it was very dark (about 5.30-5.45pm) there were no lights shining on a sign or at the key safe area. We walked up the eastern driveway entrance and feared we were entering a private residence where nobody was home. For a 5 star venue, I would have liked to see a box(es) of tissues in the bathroom and not have to remove our rubbish at the end of the stay. The 5 star rating was applicable for the venue, but not the service.
The location, set slightly separate from the main strip of Palm Cove was a bonus delight for us who dislike cities. It was an easy and safe walk into the cafe restaurant precinct each day/evening and the beach was stunning. I found the location far more divine than Port Douglas & Cairns. Apartment 334/335 was excellent - loved the layout and furnishings - it was better than we hoped for. Would love to stay longer!!

AustraliaCommunication and check in and out process with The Boutique Collection. Cold lagoon pool and the pools were a bit dirty. Not being able to eat at the restaurant, given it was full every night of our stay.
The apartment was amazing! The only downside of the apartment itself was badly designed showers so that water pooled on the floor and went under the door. The other downside is that this is a private apartment, so you are dealing with The Boutique Collection and not The Pullman (which I didn't realise when I booked). I have used many airbnbs before and am totally fine with this type of arrangement, however, this was different. It was impossible to contact The Boutique Collection and for a while I thought it was a scam. However, they did finally respond to my emails, but I still didn't like the fact I could not get hold of someone quickly if needed. The other annoying thing was having to pick up a key from a lockbox at the other end of Palm Cove. Why can't they just have a lock box at the apartment itself, as all other airbnbs I've ever stayed at do? The pools were ok, but the large lagoon pool was cold and a bit dirty. The kids loved the lap pool the most. The little kids pool was also dirty looking, so I was glad our kids were too old for it. There were heaps of sunbeds, which is sometimes not the case, even in large hotels. The drinks at the pool bar were ok. Coffee from the restaurant was great and the menu looked amazing, but we didn't eat there, as it was full every night - you must book ahead for all restaurants in Palm Cove during school holidays (or any time?). Reception staff were very friendly. The location is fantastic, if you don't mind a short stroll to the main street (which we enjoy).

AustraliaWe stayed in Apartment 403, a 2 bedroom apartment with rooftop spa. One of the beds of the apartment, had ants all through it and so one of us ended up having to sleep on the sofa each night of our 4 night stay. We called the managing agents of the apartment, The Boutique Collection, who came twice to try and get rid of the ants but they kept coming back each night with no trace of where they were coming from. They blamed it on the weather ! After returning from our stay we asked for a partial refund for what we had paid for one of the bedrooms but the managing agents said that they wouldn't agree to it as it was booked through booking.com and even after several emails to both booking.com and Boutique Collection this was not agreed to. For what is meant to be a luxury apartment and the price we paid for the apartment, this was particularly poor customer service. In addition, the rooftop spa of the apartment didn't work as the button was cracked/broken. All in all it was a very disappointing stay and a an even more disappointing response from booking.com and the managing agents of the apartment.
