How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bathroom is not attached to the room, but it is private and only a very short distance away.
A lovely clean apartment with everything we needed, including a portable stovetop, cookware and utensils. The back of the property has a great little BBQ area complete with a comfy couch and a coffee machine. The lady who runs it is friendly and accommodating.

Great location. Exceptionally well equipped unit, especially for the price. Nice outdoor set-up. I only stayed one night, but it would be a great spot for a longer stay.

Everything was good except that our room had some smell of rotten eggs or fish. That was very irritating.
Location is very good. Amenities were ok too.

We can’t rate the experience at seaforth high enough. It was so clean and tidy. But it was actually the beautiful and helpful service we received, even helping plan the tourist activity the following day. Above and beyond expected!

Tracey the owner, is a beautiful lady. I actually like how the amenities were seperate to your main room. Outdoor area. Close to beach.

Tracey was incredibly helpful with tips. She messaged which road to come in so we avoided dirt road. She messaged how to get to see kangaroos on beach with hints on parking and timing. They supplied insect repellent if needed. Advice about food as we got in late on Sunday arvo.

Incredibly clean room and facilities, great location to drive to the beach and watch the kangaroo sunrise. The beds were very very comfy. It was a cute little stay and would definitely book again.

The place was perfect for us and obviosuly in a perfect location to see the kangaroos/ rock wallabies at Cape Hillsborough. The place had everything we needed to cook a dinner and had a nice outside BBQ area although we didn’t get chance to use it.

The only thing I can think of is that there was no facewasher or shampoo & conditioner in the bathroom. (Not a big deal except we were near the end of our trip & I had very little left)
Well equipped, everything you needed for a self-sufficient stay. Clean & comfortable. Excellent outdoor bbq/ kitchen area. Tracy (the owner) was very nice & you could tell she really cared about the facilities. Would stay there again.

Idyllic stay in Seaforth Holiday Units, 2 minute walk to the magnificent beach, and 12 minute drive to watch the wallabies & kangaroos at dawn in Cape Hillsborough National Park. Wonderful, character units each with a separate private external bathroom, spotlessly clean, and exceptional hospitality from Tracy. A truly memorable stay. Thank You.

Our apartment was great. (The more expensive one with en suite, with different listings/price for the same room depending on number of guests/beds used). The other 4 units had a private bathroom but in a separate block to the main room which is ok if this is what is expected. Took us a while to work this out from the listing.
Lovely self contained apartment with en suite and all facilities. Warm welcome from host Tracey. Close to nice local beach and the very pretty Hillsborough National Park which has a fantastic beach and kangaroos at sunrise. General store next door does takeaway meals and is fully stocked for everything you might need.. Highly recommended.

I didn't like the stairs, but that isn't a reflection on their safety. I was tired and didn't want to climb stairs.
The unit was neat and tidy. Very comfy after a long day on the road, Small town feel and within walking distance to the beach. Suited our needs perfectly. The managers were very good. So good in fact, they recommended where to eat. Easy to find. Easy to stay. Worthwhile.
