How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

When you hear "WiFi & breakfast", I think most people may think free WiFi and free breakfast, specially if you pay $400 for 1 night! Also, I had to buy a hand wash from a chemist store because there was just a packaged soap, and no air freshener spray so bought one too!

Would have liked a walk in shower instead of a shower over the bath

upgrading the furniture, and tea and coffee to Nestle Expresso
Room size is good but the furniture are bit OLD, the coffee / tea provided just very basic, should improve to nestle expresso. I really enjoy the location, and the view of the beach, so close to the Blowhole.

We had breakfast there and it wasn't good. We asked for fried eggs and they were the smallest eggs I have seen also the sausages were so cooked up and the hash browns were so crispy that there was nothing inside of them.. Not worth the money.

Extremely grateful as we had a Wedding to attend. The Sebel staff and housekeeping arranged a early check in at 10.00am to accommodate us.

There is nothing to not like here
Fabulous location close to eateries. Short walk to the main street with loads of shops. Room was a great size. Bed was very comfy. On site parking was easy.

At the end of the day, it's just a hotel room. Like most other hotel rooms we've encountered you can still find mould in the bathroom, a questionable tiling job and only a small amount of shelving for your toiletries. A corner lamp would improve the room's ambience.
It's a decent sized room, and the staff are lovely. Free parking is excellent with a lift direct to the carpark. I liked the cute wooden electronic room keys and the room has pretty good soundproofing from the road. The huge fig trees provide a lovely outlook. Great location.

The parking onsite was a bonus, with lift access to the floors. The colour scheme of the hotel was nice Really enjoyed our stay

Our tv didn’t work and so we were moved to another room. The second room didn’t have a freezer and so the ice pack we needed melted. The room is dated and needs maintenance such as the PowerPoint in the first room had come out from the wall. The room was very overpriced for what it was.
The location was great and the staff were amazing.

There was a large tree outside our balcony which made the room really dark, but the room was large and very clean and comfortable.

We booked the superior room and there was nothing superior about it. It was a huge room with nothing in it.
Great location, but for the price of a superior room you really don’t get anything extra.

No bedroom slippers provided in-room ( not everyone would like to walk around barefoot). I have to go downstairs to get it from reception. No toothpastes and toothbrushes provided as well ( Reception staff brought it upstairs). Again, those are just basic needs that MUST BE easily accessible by the hotel guests. Please be mindful that guests that stayed in every hotel came from their looonnnggg and tiring journey. A complimentaey welcome drink would be nice ( a glass of wine or orange juice) and free bottle of water) for each guest provided would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

This motel was located in a great spot. It was quiet despite being one block from main area we heard very little noise. The only thing is the address you think it is on the corner but reception is actually located up around the corner on another street name. We ate at the restaurant and the meal was lovely as well as a good breakfast.
