We were given a voucher by the hotel that offers free drinks at the bar/restaurant in the premise as an apology for the issue we had in our room. We used it at dinner at the restaurant. The hotel has the deal that hotel guests are entitled to 15% off the total bill during the week. After we left the restaurant we realized the discount hadn’t been given even though it was Tuesday. So I immediately went back to talk about it. I showed to the woman who’d dealt with our payment the letter we’d received at check-in that says about this deal just for clarity. She said looking annoyed “You should have shown this to us earlier!” I really didn’t appreciate the comment, as we were obviously the guests of the hotel as we charged the dinner to the room and there was no need to show the letter. Then another person came to explain that since we had the voucher they couldn’t apply the discount. We paid more than we would have if we hadn’t been offered the voucher. Other than this experience the stay was very positive. The hotel staff especially the man who dealt with our room issue was very kind and professional . He made our stay comfortable and we hope to come back as Moonee ponds is like our second home.

We received a call during the day asking if we required towels etc. While it was a great gesture we put the please do.not disturb for a reason and we were quite panicked about what could be the problem. Just some feedback otherwise very happy.

I had trouble operating a few of the appliances but the reception team helped out straight away. Maybe a good idea regarding the air conditioners is to put a note in each room saying they won't turn on if the doors or windows are open. I had trouble figuring that out on my own after reception had closed.

Had a wonderful stay at the Sebel Moonee Ponds. I was there for work and it met all my needs. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was spotlessly clean.

Rooms were spotless, staff were incredible, so friendly. Check-in was quick. Location great. The restaurant downstairs was brilliant. The beds were so so comfortable, best sleep I have had. Rooms were equip with everything you would need.

There was a system for communicating that we did not need our towels changed, but despite saying we did not need them changed, they still did so. Maybe the staff thought they would be criticised if they did not provide new ones!! Also a plunger to make coffee in the room, would be helpful.

We really liked that we could self-cater and make our own meals. This cut costs for us. The washing machine was very useful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. When our taxi failed to arrive to get us to the airport, the reception staff were so helpful. They were polite but firm with the taxi company.
