Just be aware that there is 50 stairs down to the property. They are well made, sturdy and with railings but it’s the only way to the property. Taking my belongings down was a small challenge. I called it stairway to heaven :)

The property has the most gorgeous view, amazing attention to detail with lovely fixtures and fitting and the provisions for the stay are excellent. You could go with no food and survive, it’s beautifully done. The jetty is great if you have a boat or like a fish. The ducky visits each morning were so cute and the sunsets are amazing, loved it.

Serenity by the lake is a perfect getaway for couple wishing to have a nice relaxing holiday away from it all. Located on the shores of Lake Macquarie at Marks Point, it offers great views over the lake whilst relaxing on the lounge. The cabin is very spacious, clean and well stocked with breakfast, coffee pods, complimentary champagne, fruits and assorted cheese platter with condiments. In the evening enjoy a peaceful cuppa by the lake and to quote from 'The Castle' Ah the serenity. For those energetic enough, there's the choice of SUP or canoeing. (We skipped those and preferred to relax doing absolutely nothing). There are also a good choice of cafe, restaurants and clubs close by for those who prefer to dine out.

We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return soon! Leah was an amazing host and thinks of everything you may need to make your stay perfect. The breakfast provisions were very generous, and we were also surprised by a welcome bottle of sparkling, cheese platter, fresh fruit, nuts, crisps, etc. The accommodation is very comfortable, spacious, spotless and private. We particularly loved fishing off our private jetty, feeding the ducks, and sitting outside with the stunning view.

We would have loved to stay longer!

Everything! The location was amazing, generous breakfast foods were provided as well as a lovely bottle of champagne. The room was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The friendly ducks were a joy and we enjoyed the passing parade on the lake.

An outstanding provision of breakfast on top of all you may require for the duration of your stay. Absolutely everything was thought of and provided by the hosts. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean, modern fitout, and the view was so serene. This was such a perfect getaway. Friendly duck visitors each morning. I loved the fact that SUPS and kayaks were there ready to be used on the lake, it really was the cherry on the cake. I would love to come back and stay again one day.

We couldn't say a bad word about the place. It was a great few days spent relaxing after our wedding!

The accommodation was well stocked with a variety of treats, despite us only expecting a provided breakfast. Waking up each morning to the lake front views was fantastic. The bed was extremely comfortable. The cottage was also stocked with a variety of water activities which we weren't able to make full use of due to weather, but in warmer weather would've been awesome!

Most people would not be concerned about a lot of steep, open steps to get to the property….. I was quite anxious about them.

This property is excellent. Beautifully furnished, great floor plan, so many thoughtful supplies and inclusions, all in an amazing setting. A perfect place for a special occasion or just some time away!

There were more stairs than expected but the view was well worth it!

Fantastic stay! Photos of the view don't really do it justice - its so special to to be right on the water and we looked forward to watching the sunset from the couch each evening. Easy drive from Sydney with coffee and shops within 5 mins drive. Leah has taken such care to ensure anything you need is right there which makes the stay extra relaxing. Breakfast, snacks and extras provided were thoughtful and very generous. We popped a nice bottle of bubbles after arrival and were able to make a couple of great cheese boards with the supplies. The kayaks, paddle boards and games were also a big plus! Leah's communication was great throughout the stay, especially when we had plumbing issue. We were a bit worried given it was NYE but Leah had everything resolved within a couple hours! Thanks so much for your hospitability, Leah - we will definitely be back! :)

Everything. Waking up every day looking out at that lake and seeing the ducks arrive and feeding them. Was so super special. Everything has been thought of and we were spoilt from the books, games, equipment, fishing rods to the beautiful food and drink that was provided for us. The pantry and cupboards were stocked with everything you have at home. Highly highly recommend. Was perfect. You can get lovely meals prepared from the post office/Cafe down the road which makes lovely frozen and fresh prepared meals. This helped save lots of money and also helped with not needing to buy groceries. You can also buy loaf of bread from there too. Recommend to pack lightly and reef shoes if you want to get in the water

Nothing we didn't like.

Breakfast was supplied to cook. The hosts catered for absolutely everything and more. We did not have to leave the house, there was enough food for the weekend. Never stayed in anything like it. They thought of everything. We will definitely by back.

Having to leave!!

We loved the lovely, every changing vistas of the lake with delightfully diverting birdlife. The attention to detail- Hosts Leah and Dee have truly thought of EVERYTHING. The superbly stocked pantry sets a new bench mark! This property is most aptly named: we loved the serenity.

We accidentally dropped a glass and smashed it - we cleaned it all up and made sure to leave the place perfect Was surprised to be asked to pay for the glass considering we left everything else in perfect shape
