Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaBreakfast pricing i found was expensive. Again, we had a $100 room credit to use, without this we would of gone out for breakfast as there are many local cafes near by.
Location of hotel is great, quiet street and all within walking distance to the city or the harbour. Room and bathroom were large with a nice view and a bath to relax in. Bed was comfortable, pillows not so much. Staff wear attentive and parking was made simple as we had valet parking included in our room booking.

AustraliaWell, on arriving into the room there was blood on the bathroom floor in front of the toilet ( yuck )and the toilet was leaking water around the back and side of the toilet. 803 and 804 the toilet was running the whole time my son and girlfriend were there. We all were a little disappointed as this was a 60th birthday weekend away. on leaving we did get a $50 discount, but this shouldn't have had to happened, because of the reputation of the Shangri-La.
The size of the room was very good, lots of room to spread out. And the king bed was so lovely very comfortable. The lobby lounge was so nice with the lights dimmed and quite and comfortable.

AustraliaThe added cost booking through booking.com I was not aware off. The cost of room was higher than if we booked directly through ShangriLa. Also the additional surcharge we had to pay cause a visa debit card was used to pay. As this was a saved girlfriends weekend, these costs were not budgeted into it. That was slightly disappointing.

AustraliaOn check in, we were allocated a room on level 4. This had a very limited view of the harbour. When booking, I was under the impression we would have a full harbour view, however this was not the case. Reception was very helpful & moved us to Level 9. This was fantastic & the view we were hoping for. Hot water was Luke warm. Decor a little dated.
The location in the Rocks is fantastic. Close to historic landmarks & old pubs/ restaurants. The views are amazing. The rooms are spacious & comfortable. Breakfast, service & views from the restaurant on level 36 were exceptional!
