A few minor improvements still needed - eg bedside tables and lights on BOTH sides of bed! Plus jug of water and glasses since no sink in bedroom (and bathrooms were not on our floor). In hotter months the lack of aircon might be an issue, tho there was a pedestal fan in our room. No TV but that didn’t worry us - I’d prefer an old-school radio tbh! Kitchen needs glasses - and cups so we could make our own beverages etc. Bathrooms need hand towels. Feels a bit like a work in progress still, but a lot of care is being taken to make it a terrific place to stay.

Gorgeous historic house and vicinity. Location excellent except maybe a bit far from metro (12-15 min walk). No biggie. Room spacious and clean and bed very comfortable. Good clear communications from staff; access is easy and messages were very helpful. Wifi good. Excellent (shared) kitchen facilities downstairs.

- Room was a little bit dirty, found a lot of an ants - One bathroom was in maintenance. Only one shared bathroom for all the rooms was complicated. Can happen but I wish I was mentionned to me prior arrival - My room was overlooking the street and the isolation of the Windows was poor

It’s very simple. The room is clean. The bed was clean and comfortable.. There is no air-conditioning they do give you a fan. It was very warm in the room. For the price of the room, we made it work. Very close to walk around Sydney Australia, and convenient. For the location and the cleanliness of the room it’s worth the money. the bathroom is not in the room you have to walk up two flights of stairs or down a flight of stairs. . That was a little annoying because I get up four to five times in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.. But for the price of the room, it was doable. The bathroom was clean but that’s super clean. For the location and the room being clean it was worth the price. I’ll do it again. I . That was very nice of them.

The owner had warned me that the property had yet to be renovated, however the room definitely lacked some basic necessities such as a TV or air conditioning. Hopefully once the renovations are complete this will be resolved.

The location was incredible; in the heart of The Rocks, only a 10 minute walk to Sydney Harbour.

Some entertainment would be nice- perhaps not in rooms (would make it too noisy- you can hear through walls)- but a book exchange, cards downstairs, information about Sydney, maps, recommendations ect would help with the welcoming hospitality. I finished s book while there, and epukd love to have been able to swap it!

Loved the quiet, hassle free accommodation. Very clean and well maintained, and exactly what was needed for a work trip with access to a fully functional kitchen. The rooms are simple and kitchen and bathroom well set up. Lovely to have somewhere outside to sit, and a dining room.

I chose the attic room which is quite spacious for 4 people. The location here is very close to visiting the old town and Harbor Bridge. The host also sent wine and chocolate as a gift for the New Year.

Bathrooms are very dirty. There was mold in the sink and shower area. Bathrooms have no division between shower and toilet so most people get the entire bathroom very wet and then is dirty and wet all over.

Location is excellent. Communication with owner was very easy. There is not ac so don’t expect that. However you get a fan. Since we booked during the new years, we all received a gift of a bottle of wine with a box of chocolates. That was a nice gesture!!

There was some insects in the room on the first night, which might not be totally preventable but after that the cockroach went away fortunately. Furthermore the walls are quite thin so you can hear the streets and other people quite well.

Good location, centrally and close to the main sights and a 15 minute walk from the bus/tram/ferry that can get you anywhere. The showers were generally clean and the room was tidy when we arrived. Check in and out was easy.

There were no hand or paper towels in the bathrooms to wipe your hands. There was dust/debris on the desk. We never got a room key. The bathroom/shower could’ve been cleaner.

Location was fantastic and check in was fairly seedless. The fan in the room was good and clean. The staff were fairly responsive but the man making up our room smelt very bad, made us feel a bit off, and he could not speak any English when we tried to communicate with him it was very difficult.

Room was much smaller than the photos and could hardly move around the bed. Powerpoint did not work in room and had an extension lead running in from outside. Shower/toilet was not clean and had hairs in the corner where it hadn't been cleaned for a fair while. No bath mat provided so wet feet were not able to be dried apart from walking on the carpet to our room. Doona on bed was small and didn't cover my feet, I'm 6'1" tall, no top sheet on bed either.

The location is excellent and was a short walk from the centre of the rocks. The bed was pretty comfy and it fulfilled our needs for what we required. Parking on the street is 2P but there is a 4P area just down the road in Windmill St on the Northern side of the street near Dalgety Rd, which we found by chance on our way to a paid parking centre.

The biggest problem was the fan(ventilation system) of the toilets/showers! I've stay in the biggest and the most expensive room and the noise that the fan makes is incredibly LOUD and definitely afects the sleeping a lot. People being leaving the light on and the fan was just running most of the time...one's is on the lower floor could not get down to stop it all the time(and wonder if someone will leave it on again in 5 min) The other problem is that when someone cooks something that smells strong all the smell goes up to the last floor and in the room, because there is no door at the kitchen area. I've stayed 10 days and two of the days the toilets was not being cleaned at all(there are 3 in total in the house) Very disappointed that I've got to write this...Out of the problems the place is great and can become an incredible spot to stay in Sydney.

A lot of organising with owner to get info for arrival etc. was pretty quick with responding but this is an air bnb type arrangement keep that in mind. I came back at 11pm to find the door on a deadlock shut, luckily there was some one to help me in otherwise I would have been locked out. Strange nobody mentioned that.

The place was cold. When I mentioned it to the owner, he directed me to go downstairs and get a heater and to remake my bed with an electric blanket. He was helpful, but it was weird that this wasn't already done, and then I had to remake my bed myself. The bathroom is very small. There is nowhere to put clothes, and the floor gets wet when you shower (and no shower mat). I was there for 4 nights, and the bin wasn't emptied. It was not the biggest deal except it was an open bin, and a used sanitary napkin was inside it.

The location is amazing. The room was a good size, modern and private.
