How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Car park very tight for a big car very small . Our studio is out the back and had lots of stairs to get to , would not suit if you had mobility problems
Right in the centre opposite the beach , plenty of places to eat , great pool plenty of lounges nicely protected from the wind . Lots of rooms have a great view , our room was just a studio but it was large and comfortable

I was very disappointed that the indoor spa have changed all to chlorinated water. I was looking forward to using the health spas that used to be there ie mineral, salt, normal from memory

The air conditioning could have been better (cooler) in the bedrooms, it was too hot of a night and the maintenance people were unable to fix this. Also, we had 3 cars, so it would have been nice if we could have been able to purchase extra parking.
The majority of our stay went well.

The rooms are now getting a little dated - this will naturally occur over time. That said, everything was spotless and functional and the furniture had been updated. The shower was also over the spa bath which doesn't bother us but may not suit everyone. In high season, rooms are a bit over-priced, but that is pretty much the case for most places.
We have stayed here at the Ramada multiple times and love it. This time we had a beautiful view over the water. The Ramada is situated perfectly to the beach, shops and restaurants. It is also very central to other places of interest such as Tomaree Head, Nelson Bay township and Fingal Bay. Walking along the foreshore is easy and restorative. Great value in shoulder seasons.

It’s easy to hear the music from the cafe below and the loud people staying next door.

The room was excellent. We are upgraded to a villa and had views of the bay. The staff were helpful and courteous. It was a short walk to the Country Club where we had lunch with family.

There was a USB port on the TV that we wanted to use for some stored movies but there was not an option to select it from the source menu. Therefore it was inaccessible which was very frustrating. The TV options aren't great.

The apartment needs an update. Clean and tidy but has an old leather lounge that has multiple holes in it and the carpet is stained

The lounge was like a stiff board and stained. My bedside light didn't work. And soap dispenser didn't work, but we had that fixed. Lighting for the ensuite was inadequate.
The location is great - very close to the beach and restaurants. The apartment was clean and fairly modern.

The pool was very warm. We jumped in to cool down, but it was like a hot bath. The bed was to hard.

Bathroom window and balcony glass sliding door were difficult to close. They need new locks. A few cockroaches in the apartment. Unhappy housekeeping staff.
Exceptional reception and restaurant/bar staff. The hotel location and bay views. Very good restaurant and bars. Large comfortable room. Multi-storey car parking with wide spaces.
