How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Maybe a gas lighter for the candles...but very petty there.
The cottage had so many little extra touches that made our stay great. Loved the backyard backing onto bush, plenty of kitchen dishes etc, plenty of 'products' for kitchen and laundry which many places do not provide these days. A good distance to be able to walk into town and there are some good walks from there also. Fire fabulous also. Some DAD's which we enjoyed watching at night and a varied collection of books.

There was an interesting smell (human) in the room with single beds, and in bedroom next to it. It was very overpowering and had to buy air scent at shops & burn candle. Unfortunately it lingered really bad.
Location, everything in cottage was great. Great use of space. Very cute and very homely.

The rooms smelt divine and clean when we first arrived but there was a strange smell of cigarette smoke when we arrived back on both nights. This was the only negative in an otherwise perfect experience.
We were looking for a quaint cottage with modern amenities and BRC was the perfect fit! The location and presentation is excellent and we felt instantly at home. The beds are super comfortable and everything is spotless.

Our dog stays inside most of the time, but a fully fenced property would have made it a nicer experience for my dog to scout around. We spent one evening on the front porch drinking a cup of tea. It would have been Nice if Rocky was able to sit there without needing to be put on a leash.
My mum and I went away for a brief break, to chill before Christmas. We were fortunate that the Mulberry Cottage was available for us and my Maltese Shih Tzu, Rocky! As soon as we walked into the cottage we felt at home and comfortable. We're seasoned travelers, so we came prepared with some extra supplies (dish washing liquid, kitchen wipes, coffee plunger...) but we need not have bothered! The cottage was so well-appointed and furnished that there was not one thing we needed and was no able to find. As we were staying in summer, there was both air-conditioning and pedestal fans for each room. The games, books and puzzles was a great touch and would easily accommodate families. As there is a well-maintained wood burner there, we would be keen to stay in winter. The beds were so comfy! I had no problems in sleeping in each day. The three cottages are located close to one another without compromising on privacy. I would recommend that, if possible, group of friends/families hire all three cottages at once. It would make a good getaway for multiple families of different sizes.

We went out for the day and closed our bedroom window when we got home our bedrooms smelt like cigarette smoke
This house was very clean, great communication from the host & a nice open layout (lots of space). Was great to sit on the balcony for breakfast and hear/see all the beautiful birds. Theres also a bbq and large shared outdoor lawn

My daughter in law has a disability(legs) and was a little hard getting from the car to the house. Smoother paths would be perfect i.e concrete. She managed but was a little difficult.
The location was perfect. We were on the outskirts of the town and loved it. Close enough to pop into town for the coffee drinkers. It was great to be able to have our whole family on the same property for the weekend. We were spread over 2 cottages. We got together in the larger one. The property was very clean and well maintained.

Maybe just stuff left for a continental breakfast the first morning.
Very pretty garden, easy walk into the town and lots of information on the area. Plus the fact that everything worked in the house

our cottage mulberry ( there is three) was close a main road but we heard NOTHING overnight… incredible!
it was so quaint. It had lovely welcoming touches with tea and biscuits and port? …and the indoor fire was all set up ready to light as well as the outdoor fire pit was also ready fo go.

This was a well presented 3 bedroom cottage, that suited our 2 couples perfectly as it had 2 bathrooms. The gardens were beautiful and it had everything that we needed. The cottage was exceptionally clean.

A little bit of traffic noise but not really a problem. The unit is fine for a couple of nights if you have 4 people staying, but any longer than that you might look for accommodation with a little more room.
Very clean and cosy. Central to Stanthorpe.

Great location! Beautiful little cottage with 2 bathrooms, cozy fireplace with fire pit. Beds are comfortable too. Debbie is an amazing host! Stayed here twice now and we’ll definitely be back!
