How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Limited parking if you were not back early enough in the evening. Parked on street and no issues.
Easy to find and walking distance to most clubs and restaurants.

The showerhead was covered in scale so the pressure was not great, and some water sprayed horizontally into my face
The beds were extremely comfy and was pleasantly surprised by the small additions in the room (tonnes of storage, massive TV with good reception, cookies, tea and coffee, loads of soaps/creams etc)

Gravel Car Park a bit noisy when workers leaving early in the morning. Shower head blocked.

The showers really let the motel down. Not only was the water pressure low but the shower head needed replacing so the fine mist of water sprayed everywhere. The first night we stayed there there was no hot water. There was a large group of us and this was the case in rooms upstairs and downstairs . The manager was aware and did what she could. Not keen on having the shower above the bath but this wouldn’t have been a problem if if was a decent shower.
The motel was central and very clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Lovely small pool which sadly we didn’t use. Staff were helpful and obliging.

TV couldn't get commercial channels. Friday night no hot water. Was fixed a few hours later.

The iron was caked with sooty stuff but the staff member in the office replaced it straight away with a new iron.
Location - can easily walk tp shops and restaurants. Quiet.

Bed was too hard, like sleeping on a board, but managed for two nights.
Location was great, within walking distance to the main street of town. Pickup from local winery tour bus. Had dinner across the road in the Paragon Hotel, Amazing, its a must visit if staying at this motel. We also loved the pool as it was extremely hot while there and to be able to cool off at the end of the day was fabulous.

There was no desk lamp so the room lights had to stay on when I stayed up when my partner wanted to sleep.
I chose this motel because it is near the centre of town. I wanted to walk to a pub in town for dinner & a drink so this place was ideal. The room was upstairs & I prefer downstairs but that choice wasn't available when I reserved. I arrived a little later than I advised & I got a txt with a code to get into a key box near the entry & that worked well. There was no one in the office when I left so my visit was completely human interaction free. I paid Booking,com upfront.

Room is very tired. Need to get rid of shower curtains - they are a health hazard. The air conditioner was nice and cool but was very noisy.
Great location. Was able to walk to cafes and restaurant for dinner. It was neat and tidy and parking was easy. There was lot of info on what was around town to do and where to eat etc.

Aircon is room six is old and in wrong spot medically my husband and I need room to be cool also tv is too small it needs a bigger one or and arm to pull it out hard to see and hear

Fan could be on remote rather than wall switch. Also some of the overhead lights were on last legs in bathroom and over the entry door. Need more blackout for the glow of the red no vacancy sign at night. perhaps ability tpo mak eice - like ice trays. Still enjoyable also was so tired it was reasonably quiet in early hours of morning
I had honeymoon suite with Jacuzzi and 2 sinks. shower could have been cleaner. Otherwise nice layout and everything worked. Good size room
