Light always shining in bunk. A bit noisy. Most bunks are single only and the double is costly at twice the price.

Cute capsule in a room of 12 or so. Both upper and lower. This is definitely a backpackers rather than the business style famous in Japan. Excellent upstairs area to relax in. Take earplugs and eyeshades as you will be affected by noise and light. The male and female toilets are on alternate floors so add a request to have the suitable floor if you need the toilet regularly.

Toilets and showers were a little crammed. There are toilets and showers on each floor though, so definitely enough around to use at any time.

Very good location. More like a hostel with some level of privacy than a hotel, was a good price compared to other options in the area. There is space to get on your computer etc upstairs as well as cooking facilities if you want to cook.

Also tell people that if there is no towel on your bed were to get one? Need bigger pillows. Or option to have 2. Other people staying should be made aware that chatting/socialising should be done elsewhere not when people are trying to go to sleep. 🤷

Found some dark hairs in my capsule. It’s all white so you can see everything pretty well. Also the showers were extra dirty and the one I used was so tiny, turning around was a problem. Also there was no space for like toiletteries. Also the capsule could use some kind of aircon or sth instead of the “air” function. Not a lot of room for food items.

I liked the location and the privacy. Also liked that we had lockers. Liked the theme.

the bathrooms are not good. None of them have closing and locking doors and all are too tiny to fit in comfortably, except one. The showers have a similar issue: only one is wide enough to use comfortably, while the others are very tiny. there is black mould in all bathrooms and showers and the ceiling is falling apart. Charging ports in the capsule are all extremely slow or do not work well and the mattress is quite thin and can be a little uncomfortable.

the rooms were spacious and plenty of room for luggage and lockers etc. The capsules were also surprisingly spacious and had good ventilation and lighting. amazing for privacy. The small kitchen and large common living/dinning room were nice, and the location is perfect. right by central station and Chinatown railway. The owner and reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Room and common areas are always clean.

Showers are very tiny. No place to get changed. Housekeeping started vacuuming at 6-7am. Was super loud, couldn’t have a good rest.

No air con - only fan - pods were noisy (background noise coming from somewhere) - mattress & pillows too thin.

It wasn’t very clean and the showers and bathrooms weren’t great. The floors were slippery, it wasn’t that clean and the privacy in the shower wasn’t great.

Convenient location, staff were helpful and let us store our bags and fun design.

Difficult to climb into the top capsule.

It's a nice hostel for socially awkward people. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a hotel though. Ita nice for what it is. Clean, good location.

Apart from the shower and bathroom facilities cleanliness could be improved more and it was also very cramped. There was a strong smell of cleaning agent on most floors especially as you enter the ground floor. We had an awful experience on our second night just last weekend where my brother’s pod was occupied by someone else coming home from a late night concert. This person or guest said she’s been there since Monday and had removed all of my brother’s belongings left scattered on the floor outside his pod. We clearly checked in Thursday and no one was there - this event happened at 1am Saturday. This was very disrespectful and confusing on our part if ever there was a mix up. So I had to report this to Afterhours staff and upon investigation she has similar card as my brother’s. So my brother was moved to a different pod for that night. It was a hassle for us and my biggest concern was security of the place- how come someone has the key card for the same pod(exceptions to staff of course). The following morning, I spoke to staff upon checkout and told us this is the first time it happened. I left it for them to investigate as the person looked familiar to them. They offered us a free night as compensation when we travel back to Sydney but I don't think i’ll want to stay there again after this.

The hotel was right smack in the Sydney CBD and in close proximity to stores, restaurants and public transport. This made it whole lot easier for us to go around. The staff were friendly accommodated our requests. The pod was adequate in size as well.

Unique experience staying in a capsule. Great alternative to a hostel for solo travellers. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The bathrooms and hallway areas were not as clean as they could have been but for the price was fair. I did what I do when camping and cleaned the shower that I used while I stayed.

Location and uniqueness. The capsule was clean and private. A bit like a rooftop tent but with lights, mirror and phone charger. They were helpful providing towels and lockable luggage storage as I was traveling overseas after my stay. The communal area was clean and well appointed. The capsule was large enough for me to fit comfortably with my suitcase and hand luggage.
