The apartment was amazing and had everything our family could ever need in the week we stayed there. Staff were lovely to chat to and was very knowledgeable about the local area.

Having prepaid for my 6 night stay here I was made pay a $200 deposit upon arrival which I was ok with. 5 days after checking out and no sign of my deposit being refunded I messaged them twice via booking.com tried to call and went to their reception 3 times before someone was actually there. The excuse for my deposit not being returned was because I did not throw the rubbish in the external bins before vacating. I argued my case but the manager (Sheena) refused to reason , she called the police to resolve the matter, at that point I left. Do not stay here and if you do be sure to not pay a deposit. Disgraceful customer service.

A truly horrible stay. The manager/owner appeared confused and particularly unhelpful on arrival and on entering the apartment, carpets were badly stained and it felt so unclean. You couldn’t have bare feet on any of the floor surfaces and the blankets evidently hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The shower taps were broken and ran. The bed sunk and had bulges in the matress. I was picked up by Brisbane friends and was told the place was known for drug use. That appeared correct as I wasn’t able to sleep at all during my stay. The (long term) tenants directly across the hall played hard core excessively loud rap music throughout the night and into the morning every night. They were shouting, partying and swearing and I didn’t sleep a wink and felt really unsafe. I spoke to the owner who also lives there and she said she’d ask them to keep it down however it was worse the next night as the party went to 5 in the morning this time. I requested a refund for my stay and the manager refused except for a “10% discount”. She also told me the partying and noise “didn’t happen” and it was a different “crazy old lady who moans like a ghost every night” that kept me awake. Luckily I took videos of the horrible situation and the ponding noise and submitted them to booking.com who will refund me. Thank god booking.com are onto it. A truly horrible experience that wrecked my holiday. I can’t get those 3 nights back but now you can avoid the place like the plague.

Getting into the apartment was difficult. The code I was given didn't work and then nobody answered the phone. I only got past the front gate when a resident was leaving. The aircon for the apartment did not work. There was a stand alone unit with flexible duct shoved through the window in a bedroom, but it was too noisy to operate at night. There was a cockroach on the floor in the shower, hair all over the floor in the bathroom, the towels were old and threadbare, the taps were falling apart, the soapdish was so old and corroded it had worn out. The whole apartment is old and outdated and felt really dirty. there are no lifts. despite apartments being on level three. Certainly not worth the money.

The beds were so old and the spring was gone, super uncomfortable. Cobwebs here and there on the walls. No locks on the bedroom doors. No air conditioner in the rooms. One of the bedrooms fan speed cannot seen.

Location was good. SpringHills Market Place was just a street away for easy groceries and eat out. Easily accessible to City via Uber or Taxi.

Beds were terribly uncomfortable, they were advertised as air-conditioned. This was true of the living area but not the bedrooms.

The bathroom is dangerous. Our healthy 24 yo son slipped twice getting into/out of the shower which is located in the bathtub. I would strongly advice older people to avoid this place. The bathroom arrangement makes it dangerous. We were cold the first night as there were not enough blankets. Hot water and cold water in shower were very hard to control - either too hot or just cold. Wasting a lot of water trying to get it right. The kitchen crockery was very limited and what there was, was mostly in the dishwasher and wet and cold when we first arrived. Internet wifi was very poor - even after correction.

The reception desk person tried to remedy the problems wheree she could. She at least got us extra blankets and also a heater.

General uncleanliness feel of our room. The grouting in the kitchen/bathroom areas looks as if it hasn’t been properly cleaned in years. Nearly all the appliances - air conditioning, fridge, oven and microwave (which are meant to be replaced every 10 years) look at least 20 to 30 years old. The air conditioner had a strange mouldy smell on some days, making it unpleasant to sit in the lounge area. You get what you pay for but we would expect better from what we had paid for our room.

Could have been a little bit better equipped with additional cooking utensils- bought a pizza to heat in the oven and there were no baking trays to put it on.

Fantastic shower!! Best I’ve experienced in my 6 weeks travelling in Australia- temp adjusts from cold to very hot and really strong, powerful jets if wanted, sheer bliss! Good central location, friendly and very helpful reception staff. Good communication prior to arriving regarding where and how to pick up keys out of hours.
