Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyNot so many options for eating in the surroundings. WiFi is available only paying.
Lovely stay for a family with kids, they loved to wake up with animals in front of our house. They enjoyed to feed alpacas and goats. The resort is in the middle of Hunter Valley, really lovely region for wine lovers. Staff was very kind. Laundry available for free. Playground for kids.

AustraliaThe kitchen needed a few more items. There was no wine glasses (which is not good for staying near wineries) and no cutting board to cut nibbles

AustraliaWe had a water view cottage, and it was a bit smelly, and lots of mosquitoes were annoying 😑
The staff were very helpful and friendly. We could easily get all of our needed facilities. The area was quiet and nice. There were comfortable beds in the rooms.

AustraliaYou are required to wash the dishes upon exist which is no problem however I do think by doing this cleanliness of glassware & utensils can be overlooked. This was was the case for us as we ended up having to rewash most of the glasses before we could use them. Outdoor chairs & table needed a decent wipe down before we could use them. Nothing a good hose down can't fix.
For us the location was great, as it was near Margan Wines where we had a wedding. Some of our group had children & so this accomodation was perfect with all the animals around. Side note: there was a large dog roaming about when we checked in. It was super friendly & gentle. We had no issues but I was the only one who wanted to get out of the car so I just wanted to point that out incase anyone else was worried.

AustraliaThis was a fantastic place for our family to unwind in the sandstone cottage for 2 nights. The staff are amazing. Farmer Quinn was friendly and took time to chat to us and tell us all about the amazing farm he has created! Our children fell in love with the animals, cows, goats, pigs, donkeys and Alpacas. Our son was so sad to leave his friend Murray the goat is still bursting into tears!! Well done to the team on a fantastic place to stay, your passion shows! We will be back soon.

AustraliaInsufficient/missing kitchen utensils enough to accommodate all guests staying in cottage.Towels are placed on beds as there is no towel rack in bathroom except for two small hooks behind door.
The farm animals were delightful to experience. The cottage was comfortable with necessary facilities and private bbq on porch and private car carport, both added bonuses.

AustraliaBooking a suite advertised as being for adults/couples and sleeps 2 only to find that we had a family with 2 young children on one side of us and a family with a toddler on the other. We are not criticising the families or children they were well behaved but the crying in the middle of the night and early morning noise was not what we had booked for.
The peace and quiet. The relaxed atmosphere the animals bring to the stay.

AustraliaNothing... can't fault the place.
We are a family of four. Our kids are 7 and 10. This place was outstanding. The booking was easy, and when we called to make some inquiries, everyone was very responsive and friendly. On arrival, the receptionist (Vicky) was so accommodating. The cabins we immaculately clean. That's always the first thing we look at! We rented one of the sandstone cabins, which had the paddock with the animals literally out our back door. The kids LOVED all the animals. They hand-fed all the alpacas, mini horses, donkeys goats... you name it they did it! There were tennis courts on site which we used every day... This really was an awesome "screen Free" get away which is so important for kids. What I personally loved about the whole experience, was giving my kids the confidence to wander off on the property which is all safe. When I was a kid we used to go play during the day and come home when the street lights came on. This doesn't happen these days... It was so good to not worry about the kids, as they explored the different areas of the farm. They were always visible... the place is set up really well. We will be back without a doubt.
