How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was no chopping board in the kitchen for preparing meals, but otherwise the kitchen facilities were great.
Location was great - a very short drive to the town centre. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and we could park the car right at the front door. Although we didn’t see any platypus, the platypus stream out the back was cute - we could see the bubbles so we knew they were there!

No draining area for sink. Washing dishes left water everywhere.

Floor in the cottage was a bit uneven but wasn't too much of an issue. It would have been good to have a jug or container to put water in the fridge.
Clean and quiet cottage. The lounge was spacious with a warm heater and the kitchen facilities were good. The cottage had an attached undercover car park. The beds were comfortable and lots of pillows and blankets available.

We arrived early and had a 4 hour wait to get Villa. We visited Strahan and local sites for a couple hours. On return we parked near the big4 site. Unbeknown to us we were looking at our Villa from that park. Our disappointment was that for the nearly two hours that we waited No-one serviced the Villa so it was in fact available well before the allotted return time if 2.30. Whilst reception had our phone number we did not receive a call to confirm a earlier availability. As two elderly travellers we were somewhat frustrated at that.

Bed was small.
Short walk to Harbor around 10min. Stream runs through the park with the chance of seeing a platypus... Bed was too small. Otherwise it was comfortable

While check in was OK and friendly enough for us, the person in front (whose English was a second language) didn't get such a friendly welcome as the person checking them in was frustrated with the lack of understanding (directions to their site/room/wifi) of those checking in.
The property was nice, quiet and had good clean facilities (toilets/showers/games room)

The distance away from the main entrance on a single round the park road system.
It was a great cabin with the facilities clean and modern. The roof rattled a little in the very high winds we had on our first night.

It wasn't a problem for us but the only negative was that the wifi did not work for us when we were there. Staff did try to help us but we weren't able to get it to work using the stipulated ssid and password.
THe place was clean. Kitchen had all the facilities we needed. The location was a convenient walk from the town centre (about 10-15 stroll - flat). ample parking for two cars (we booked a cottage). Price was reasonable and staff were helpful

Unless you are coming to Strahan to go on a cruise or train trip, there is not much else in the town and it’s a long long drive from anywhere. The cabin we stayed was expensive for what it is, it felt tired and could do with updating.
We stayed in a two bedroom cottage. Beds were comfortable and it was spacious.

A clothes airer would have been convenient. There was no hair-dryer, but one was obtained from reception.
Having Molly's Cafe out front was very convenient. We had the big family cabin, so plenty of room. Having 2 bathrooms and extra toilet was great for our group.

Electric blanket only workable on one side. Lack of bathroom bench space and hooks and towel rail falling off.
Bed comfy ; electric blanket cord didn’t reach the power point ; Towel rail falling off in bathroom but staff called maintenance immediately when we reported that on departure. Blow heater welcome after our evening at fabulous local play ( we were frozen!! ) Kitchen adequate thank you. Enjoyed our stay in Strahan.😊😊

The bed was a little snug for my husband who is 6’3” but we would return.
Fantastic cabin and caravan park which is well laid out and had ample inclusions / facilities, everyone was super friendly.

The lounge too soft uncomfortable and difficult to get up from. The cabin was joined in a single building to two other cabins.
We would have preferred a stand alone cabin not a cabin joined by a verandah to two other cabins especially since we had made this booking months ahead. The cabin was clean and functional however the lounge was just terrible to sit on not good for your posture that's for sure. A nice location set in a forest type atmosphere.
