How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Metal skirting in the kitchen between floorboards and carpet is a minor trip hazard. My son fell and had a small scrape from the exposed nail.
Beautifully and thoughtfully furnished family home. Newly renovated bathroom and kitchen. Convenient location in Mt Beauty.

Good location very clean and comfortable. Owners/ caretakers are lovely. Plenty of coffee tea ect supplied. A great place to stay.

lighting at night wasn’t quite right- either too dim or big light was too harsh white, but not a huge issue.
The property had everything we needed. Appreciated all the hangers and drying racks - it came in handy to dry our snow gear.

Lovely apartment that was perfect for our family of four which includes two teenagers. Our boys loved that there was Netflix! Comfortable beds, decent sized bathroom with a good shower. Kitchen had everything we needed, even little extra touches like coffee plungers. This accommodation exceeded my expectations and was great value for money. We met one of the hosts, Andy, whom was very friendly and made us feel at home.

Loved everything but would suggest possibly a brighter light or lamp near couch area in living room to facilitate reading.
No 43 Studio Apartment is spacious, extremely comfortable and clean, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated with much attention to detail. Everything required for a short or even longer stay is available from the well appointed kitchenette with complimentary condiments and bathroom with complimentary toiletries, to the spacious living area and separate bedroom with ample storage , each room with a television set. Tourist information, maps, games and activities are also on hand as are the straight forward easy to follow Apartment care instructions.

This place is perfect for your weekend or retreat gateway. The place is really neat and clean. It's proper clean should I say, it smells good and fresh. The host (Andy and Sarah) is very thoughtful, providing us with all facilities that you feel like our own home. The kitchen has all what you need to cook decent meals, this includes refreshments and condiments. They even provide chromecast (not just a good wifi), so you can watch from your own streaming subs. The cabin gets plenty of morning sun. For cyclists, this is a perfect spot if you like climbing around Tawonga-Falls Creek-Mt.Hotham.

The only thing we missed was not being able to wash our clothes on the premises but this didn't really cause any major problem.
The property was better than we expected and provided many unexpected extras such as foil, plastic wrap, food items for initial stay. We had the feeling we were at home and enjoyed our time greatly in Mount Beauty.

had just about everything we needed. 2 things. 1st was not aircon in the bed room and 2nd only thing it did not have was a washing machine. otherwise really comfortable. We had the fan on which made the bed room manageable

A bit hard to find as the speed limit on the road is a bit fast to drive slowly and look at numbers. I don't know if we would have found it easily at night. Our GPS for some reason would not take us there.
The unit was fully equipped for cooking and looking after ourselves. Ironing facilities, hair dryer etc.

I really liked the couch in the main living area. It is soft and looks great. Just not really very wide so it was slightly uncomfortable if sitting for too long, especially if you are a bit taller. And no ends so there is nothing to swing around and lean up against. But it is not really a complaint just an observation as I certainly would not knock anything on this great place.
The property was charming—spacious, and clean, with fresh flowers throughout the rooms, windows everywhere, and bright and fresh. Bed very comfortable with 2 pillows, a doona as well as a light blanket! Often only get the doona and sheets at most places. Lots of kitchenware as well as tea, coffee, butter, jam etc. Great cooking facilities including a very clean oven. Large TV with Netflix. TV in the bedroom if needed. Bunks in with main bed for kids. The bathroom was lovely and the hosts also supplied soaps, shampoos, body wash, and lots of toilet paper. Very bright and clean. The area was quiet and private. Easy to park right next to the studio. Definitely recommend a stay here.
