How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Curtains not sunblock, so too light early morning. Noisy in earning morning with rubbish removal. No basic items in Kitchen like Salt and Pepper. Overall minor issues.
Room, View, Balcony. Facilities like pool, Spa, Suna and Tennis courts. Bed was very comfortable. Overall excellent stay.

We were not informed that a man was coming to update the Internet and Foxtel. If we had not been in the apartment at the time he would have just let himself in as per management agreement. This was not on. A note under the door would have been nice. Not that this would happen on a regular basis.
A good location two blocks from the beach halfway between Surfers and Broad Beach. Tennis Court with free use of balls and racquets. Nice pool with heated water. Near Florida Gardens tram stop.

Bit noisy early in the morning but that not your fault.
Absolutely love the Gold Coast. I've not been overseas for 27 years!! Hope to get back and we were both happy at your motel. Great pool area too. Thank you

Climbing into and out of the spa to use the shower.(no step just a hand rail) and the blinds where broken causing sunlight in the morning 6am to shin straight on to the bed.
The one bedroom had a TV that you could turn around from lounge room into bedroom. Apartment was spacious and bed comfortable.

Volume on Foxtel for watching movies was not very audible even after turning up the volume control on remote, it was still very hard to hear, even with sliding glass door closed. No plug for laundry sink or spa bath.
Amazing views of all surrounding areas from my balcony.

Nothing worth mentioning. If being picky the unit could do with an update.
The location was superb, nice stroll to Surfers main street, equally nice easy stroll to Broadbeach and Pacific Fair. Very close to the beach, Lovely pool and sauna.

I wish there was some pyrex dishes to use in oven, containers to store food in refrigerator.. oven glove for removing hot dishes from oven. No Serving dishes. TV very muffled in sound,

Construction noise from the apartment above us made it very difficult to sleep in, we would have preferred to be in a quieter room:

The washer need to be clean and some of the light bulbs are not working or missing. And car park is not ordered meaning there are numbers on each spot and looks like match room number but seems like useless.
The room is generally clean and relatively quiet environment compared to other hotels.

One downlight not working in the bathroom but I felt this was minor and didn't have any effect on the stay.
Location was good, about a 5 minute walk to the Florida Gardens tram stop (chose not to hire a car for the trip). Visited for the Gold Coast Marathon weekend so the spa bath in the room was handy after the marathon. Close to shared walking/e-bike/bike path junction near the Langham Hotel which made walking up to Surfers Paradise or down to Broadbeach easy. Property kept me informed with check-in and check-out information via text.

The mugs in the kitchen were not clean and the bin in the bathroom had not been cleaned properly

The room was nice, clean, and the view was good, could see the ocean through other buildings and the mountains the other side as we were on a corner room, our location was close to the beach with a short walk, and to close to town in your car. we chose this location for the week.
