Stains were on the walls of the female toilets and weren’t cleaned during my two stays, toilet seat broken and hadn’t been repaired. Having to give a $50 cash deposit is inconvenient. Website advertises on site parking, I called to asked about parking and was told parking was available. On arrival I was informed there was no onsite parking and I would have to try one of the residential streets nearby.

Location was really good, staff were friendly and room was clean.

Great location, just in front of Coogee beach. Friendly staff, balconies in the rooms and beds have curtains that you can draw for some privacy

* toilets need a major refurb! all looking very tired. shower cubicles were mouldy from the water. * two toilets and two showers for one floor is not enough. we also had a blocked toilet for about 2-3 days, leaving 1 toilet to share between a whole floor of girls. often I went to the toilet and had to wait in a 15 minute queue. If there were other toilets in the building, I wasn’t made aware of them. * got very hot at night in the 12 bed dorms as there was no air conditioning. one fan in one room didn’t quite do the trick making it difficult to have a comfortable nights rest * can tell the beds were old as they were so squeaky! could hear every single movement so would quite often be woken up by this (or wake myself up by moving in bed) - however when we were leaving, we seen staff bring in new bed frames so hopefully this is being changed? * one washing machine and one dryer only in use with the others “out of order”. We had a lot of washing so this took us all day due to lack of facilities.

* very good location - right on coogee beach! & bus stops nearby for bus into central * sockets, light & curtain on each bed was super handy * staff were nice & helpful * liked the kitchen set up, huge fridge and containers for dry food making it easy to store * had social events (we didn’t take part but was good to know the option was there!)

Wifi was very poor, toilets and showers were not too clean. The beds squeak extremely loudly and are uncomfortable. The rooms were very hot and stuffy.

The staff were extremely nice and courteous. You can leave your luggage there on the day of departure and also use the hostel area.

the kitchen is very small, one sink for the whole hostel is not enough (big fridge though!) and people tend to leave their dirty dishes (maybe putting a sign saying that they could get fined for it would work? seems to work in other hostels) no curtains on the windows in some rooms made it hard to sleep in the morning since the sun is up 5:45am

the location couldn’t be better: right on the beach, shops and bus station very close! everyone is pretty friendly and easy going, staff is nice and helpful kitchen’s open h24 balconies in some rooms nice common area

Location was perfect, right on the beach! However women staff walked into room several times without explaining which made me and the other girls within the room extremely uncomfortable as they just came in checked names on the bed and walked out while laughing, no hello, nothing. one gentleman that works here however was more than helpful and very pleasant, didn’t get his name but he has only started and made us feel welcome

No aircon, it got SO hot at night it was horrible, 1 fan per room does nothing. The kitchen / living area was small and at peak times you couldn’t sit down to eat.

Difficult to mingle with others as they had already formed a group. I would say it’s quite a ‘clicky’ hostel which isn’t the hostels fault at all but just thought I’d mention.

Beautiful views of the beach from the balcony and perfect location if you’re looking to chill or surf by the sea for a bit, or go for walks along the coast. Stayed in a 12 bed which was surprisingly spacious and comfortable.

the common area of this hostel is the best of any hostel I’ve been in on my 6 week trip! there’s always someone to talk to or something to do. the staff are really helpful and the location is perfect!

There were cockroaches in the bathroom and the dorms. The communal areas in the apartments were overflowing with peoples stuff who were staying there for weeks at a time. There’s no plugs by the beds if you’re on the top bunk either.

The atmosphere was very social and friendly. Although the upstairs common area is small, it’s very light and overlooks the beach which is nice.

On the last night, it was raining in Sydney and water leaked through the roof into our roof and basically flooded all of our things - manager was really rude when we asked for a refund for our final night. Saw a few cockroaches on the floor too.

Location was right in the heart of Coogee. Right at the beach, right by the nightlife, perfect spot for a quick night or two in Sydney.

4 person dorm, room number 1 was absolutely terrible. No space at all for bags, was far too small for 4 people, messy and having no air conditioning in the heat in insane. The room had one fan that didn’t work. Not one to give bad reviews and aware it is a hotel but we had stayed in many hostels in Asia before landing in Sydney and this was unfortunately well below acceptable standards.

Facilities were clean and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It’s was great stay overall and the accommodation is opposite the beach and situated in a great location. Bus stop is just on the opposite side of the street. Great place if you enjoy walking up early to watch sunrise. The trail start for Coogee to Bondi walk is only 5 min from the accommodation.
