How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Only problem was I was traveling with my elderly mother it is a two story villa. So she struggled with stairs. Not a great problem as the layout was good, with main bathroom and bedrooms downstairs so we were able to minimize the stair use for her. :)
Modernized, heated floors in the bathroom, for a northerner in Tassie in May was great. Spectacular views from the terrace, comfortable.

The property was clean and in a great location we have family in St Helen’s and this is the 2nd time we have stayed at Sweetwater we weren’t disappointed either time .

No cutting boards, no Tupperware for day trips, no heating downstairs, a dryer would be handy but not a necessity
Very comfortable and suited our family well! Electric blankets down stairs where it was cold and had no heating was a blessing! The veiw and well equipped kitchen and bathroom! Loved having 2 toilets with a toilet training toddler and a husband

The weird house out the back, sort of needs a hedge or screen. But you only really go out the back for the clothes line.
It was a great sized two bedroom apartment. It had plenty of room for our family of three and a good living area upstairs. Good views from the front deck, comfortable beds and the heated bathroom floor was great. It had a washing machine and clothes line on the back deck which is important for long trips. The location was up the hill sort of surrounded by houses which meant it was pretty quiet but you had to drive into town.

Possibly more fastidious cleaning of bathroom skirting boards. Otherwise, no complaints and would stay again.
Recently modernised it was comfortable and well equipped. A quiet location with harbour views made for a pleasant stay.

Shower door opened the wrong way so it was really difficult to squeeze oneself into the corner of the cubicle , against the cold tiles to shut the door. It was really bizarre to have a door open inwards. Washing machines are not free and quite pricey compared to all of the 8 accomodation we stayed at on this trip.
Location, accomodation facilities, cleanliness and the heater.

Clean and comfortable. A very short drive out of the centre of town - St Helens. We had a car so this was no problem. Very quiet and comfortable. Laundry within the facilities which was a bonus.

It rained overnight on one of the days we stayed. But hey Sweetwater Villas can't do anything about that.
This is the second time we've stayed here as it provides our family with everything it needs. Great, affordable, clean and neat rooms.

Stove but BBQ did just as well!
Awesome place ! Love having a full kitchen, washing machine, dryer next door in the laundry. Brilliant view, quiet, great host and nothing to complain about !

The location was a little remote. We prefer to be able to walk for meals and coffees and there was only one cafe and restaurant within comfortable walking distance.
Wonderful view of the water and bay. The villa was well equipped and comfortable. It was a good base for our visit to Bay of Fires.

Very nice, comfortable unit the good kitchen. Bed was comfortable, too. We enjoyed our stay here. We didn't meet the owners, but the correspondence was good with a lot of local information supplied.

Distance from town, a car is a must have. The hot water in the shower urgently needs attention before someone gets scalded.
Clean, comfortable with everything we could need for a few days stay. We were provided with a great welcome note accompanied by a list of restaurants and shops with phone numbers and addresses as well as helpful information. The ideas for sight seeing and suggested itinerary was excellent and helped us to plan our days.
