Although we enjoyed the stay we would not return. There seemed to be so many emails on the booking from the agents, it was well over what you normally expect for a weekend away.

The driveway - could do with being levelled as tree roots bumped the car out of alignment. Double mattress was very soft in end bedroom - I woke with an aching back.

Lovely quiet bush location near Blackheath, and not hard to find. Homely, tasteful welcoming place. Heating was great for the cold weather. Good kitchen facilities to cook for five people. I missed a colander or sieve though.

3pm check-in was later than we would have liked to settle in with the family.

Cosy house with all of the comforts of home. Located in a quiet street, the backyard was perfect for the kids to run around in. The multiple fire pits were perfect for roasting marshmallows at the end of the day.

The bedside lamp bulbs have bright daylight globes. Something a bit gentler & dimmer would be nice. A smart tv so we could watch Netflix would be a bonus.

The property was clean but the amenities are in need of some replacements. There were only two poor quality fans in the property - one of which did not work. The fly screens to all the windows and doors were in disrepair which made the house feel very stuffy as we did not want to keep windows and doors open due to flying insects getting in. There were lots of bugs and large spiders which made our stay a little fraught!

Could have had more racks or hooks to hand towels in the bathroom. Steep driveway so just be mindful of this. You can drive from the side street or walk down the steps from the street though. We managed to park our 4WD but it's a bit tight. Main room near the bathroom had limited space for our luggage but we managed and were able to put things in one of the rooms we weren't using.

Fantastic location for travelling to different parts of the Blue Mountains. Kitchen had lots of equipment if you plan to self cater. Bathroom had a heater light which was great due to it being winter when we were there. Gas fire and heaters were more than enough to heat the whole house. Really close to some great walks and look outs. No direct neighbours. Local pub had a great feed and some smaller food shops available but larger shopping would need to go to Katoomba. We had a little hiccup on check in but the host was fantastic and got onto the issue as soon as we notified them. We would happily stay here again.

Better instructions for turning on and off heater and TV for those not tech savvy and difficult access to turning on and off the heater as it's difficult to lay on the floor if you're older

Overall for what it cost I think everything was Very reasonable and as expected! House is a little old and away from shops etc but wasn't an issue for us - Had a great Stay! :)

Amazing little house, very cosy and warm. Fantastic Garden out back with enclosed area (Great if you bring pets!) and nice little fire pit too!

Would be nice if they provided bug repellent, I know they can't control the amount of mosquitoes everywhere but it would have been handy.

The cleanliness of the BBQ was terrible. It was so dirty and rusty that we were unable to use it for our intended meal on Friday night. We did however use the stove and kitchen. Fly screens would have been welcomed on the front door and the kitchen window. No cross ventilation of air as we couldn't leave them open whilst we we inside. A railing on the stairs at the front would help older/less agile people. Everything else was good.

The location was fantastic and the outdoor area of the property were excellent. The bush setting was just as we wanted. The beds and mattresses were wonderful and all the towels and linen for the beds were of excellent quality,

My family and I liked everything.

The property had a restful feel and the house was cool inside. The hosts ensured the kitchen and bathrooms had all the essentials ( including batteries & fly spray) with the laundry room cupboard offering unexpected extras like Christmas decorations.

I recently stayed at this property and regret to report a very disappointing experience. Despite multiple attempts, the host, Heidi, was consistently unresponsive to phone calls, offering limited communication via text only.The property itself presented numerous issues: 1. Lack of Ventilation and Cooling: The house was uncomfortably hot, with only one fan provided for the entire space. This made our stay particularly challenging during warmer days. 2. Window and Flyscreen Issues: Several windows either could not be opened or lacked flyscreens. Some flyscreens that were present had holes, making it impossible to ventilate the house without letting insects in. 3. Balcony Unusable in Rain: The balcony, which could have been a pleasant feature, was marred by multiple leaking spots, rendering it unusable during rainy conditions. The most distressing issue, however, was the presence of bed bugs. On the first night, I noticed bites which I initially assumed were from mosquitoes. However, by the third night, it became evident that these were bed bug bites, confirmed by their distinct pattern and my subsequent physical reactions. Despite reporting this serious concern to the host, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. There was a refusal to acknowledge the possibility of bed bugs, even though I woke up with bites over several days and noticed small blood dots on the sheets. The property's condition, combined with the host's lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to address serious concerns, made for an extremely unpleasant stay. I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider booking this property until these significant issues are resolved. For the price paid and the expectations set, this experience was far below acceptable standards.
