Nothing, everything was great!

We love staying at the beautiful Terrace Lofts in Ocean Grove. These little wonders have everything you need, in a modern, neat, comfortable living environment- we instantly feel at home. To make things even better the lofts are a 5min walk to the beach and a 2min walk to the Main Street making it super easy to park the car and walk everywhere! Couldn’t recommend staying here more! The team are so lovely and accomodating, very easy to get into contact with them.

Kids and myself love everything, but for my husband's taste the bed was too soft, as he likes hard mattress. Most of the firewood pieces were too big for the fireplace, but the unit had an aircon to keep as warm.

The parking on site was very difficult to use with 4 lofts and 4 cars, only room for 3 cars on site. We had to park across a main road in a shared parking lot, all whilst managing 2 kids under 3 in heavy rain. Lots of spider webs, doesn’t seem to have been cleaned properly, had a spider crawling on my 3 year old while asleep, then in the morning noticed the large web right above the bed.

It needed a good thorough clean and general indoor/outdoor maintenance. The terrace was overgrown with weeds/tree branches impeding the door opening which we had to remove and the bbq was dirty and not useable. Dead flies around the corners of tv cabinet and cobwebs all around the rooms. Lipstick marks on wine glasses and fry pans grubby from last tenants. Fridge needed to be wiped out as there was debris from last guests food on shelves and in the vege crisper drawers. The bathroom handbasin was so blocked up from hair and muck it would not drain. Maintenance guy came to sort it but it would have been like that for months. A few fresh soft furnishing wouldn't go astray as would a decent wine glass or fry pan. And there were no staple items such as salt and pepper, oil or decent coffee or pod machine.

The place was unclean- cob webs in all the rooms in the corners, dusty shelves. The hosts were unresponsive to our texts. The bin from the last tenants were still inside the kitchen!!!! It was full and smelly. It was pretty terrifying. The heater was also not efficient- it was freezing downstairs even with the heater on full for hours.

The location was good - close to beaches and restaurants.

On arrival noticed the exterior and surrounding outdoor area in the front was overgrown and untidy. a bench seat was covered in bird poo and our initial impressions having seen that was to wonder what to expect inside. As soon as we opened the door, we noticed the floors were dirty, carpet had not been vacuumed cobwebs and dead spiders we found in several places including draws. the huge glass windows were dirty with smudge marks and the outdoor BBQ area was filthy, seats with bird poop leaves all over the decking. We couldn’t sit outside to have a coffee or breakfast. We also noticed when we looked up the guttering on the outside above the outdoor seating was rusted through and with the dampness, it was dripping. The interior of the unit showed cracks in the walls, ceilings and stairwell which were very visible. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly with the sink taking a long time to drain. Overall the interior was outdated and needed repairs. The photos on the website were obviously taken years ago which didn’t match what we walked into if we had know that we wouldn’t have booked this property. We also noticed when we were looking online that the unit had been listed with another provider and a overseas customer had stated similar concerns . The owners could have provided better customer information for tourist, what we found was a draw with catalogues that were outdated. It was extremely over priced for what we got I would not recommend this property to anyone. Unit 4/92 The Terrace. Even more disappointing was before we arrived we asked if we could enter a little bit earlier but was advised that it needed a clean, which obviously did not happen.

the security light is really bright at night. shines into the living area and as it’s a loft style, it’s bright during the night. there needs to be a blackout blind on the front door (we ended up using our child’s blackout blind and it worked well). kettle also needs to be replaced as it’s rusty

Available heating was inadequate for the type of accomodation and for the cold weather. . The air conditioner failed to warm the downstairs area and it would have been beneficial to have an oil heater or similar downstairs. Mezzanine area was easily heated but as we all know, hot air rises..

was unexpectedly dirty on arrival but cleaner did come come and cleaned quite well. some toilet mess was still there, and the couch needed a good vacuum/ clean. many of the kitchen facilities were old and stained, they could do with replacing. walls and door handle areas need a really good wipe down.

Loved the apartment but the openest of the bedrooms to the living room was terrible. Trying to sleep while the TV was on was impossible for me.

Some aspects of the apartment weren't so clean. It needs a good workover with the cobweb brush. The cooktop was grimy. We would have loved some wood for the fire. The apartment was quite cold with nights of 4 or 5 degrees. September too early to cut off wood supply and it was a drawcard for our stay. Disappointing to have to purchase wood. Lastly, the queen bed really needs a new mattress.

No sensor light on the stairs at night and have to go downstairs to use the toilet.

Was nice the fire was all ready to go. Loved the open space and the couch was very comfy. Right near main shops which was very convenient.
