The swimming pool was not heated so it was too cold to make use of.

It was in a great location being walking distance to beach but also away from busyness of the main strip. The room was spacious and very comfortable and we loved having the private back porch to relax in. We enjoyed the delicious gourmet breakfasts lovingly prepared by Adrian each morning. The other host Ned was very friendly with lots of helpful travel tips to offer.

it was so clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. the breakfast was superb. it was so quiet we had a great sleep and the location was perfect. we will be back!

if you have specific breakfast wishes you should inform the owner the day before. we did not and we did not like it so much (mayonnaise on the omelette etc) but it’s a very personal thing :) and they surely will try to adopt to your wishes

The pool is much smaller than in the pictures. But, again, not a big deal as the beach is very close.

Extremely friendly manager, beautiful location, very nice and spacious rooms - mini villas. Beach-facing veranda, everything in Byron just a short walk away and a good breakfast served to the room. What else would one want?

Delicious, freshly cooked breakfast which can be enjoyed on the private terrace. Great hosts. Very welcoming. Helped with restaurant recommendations. The rooms are lovely and spacious with great bathrooms! A perfect location for adult guests visiting Byron Bay.

We absolutely loved our stay. The only thing we wished was different was that the AC is in the living room and not in the bedroom. It took some time to get the warm air out of the bedroom and cool the room down. But everything else was perfect.

We stayed in the Lomandra Suite which is upstairs and has its own private entrance. The apartment is absolutely beautiful, spacious, comfortable and very clean. The bed is big and comfy. It rained on one day of our stay and we spent it on our private, covered terrace which was very nice and relaxing. Ned, the owner, is a great guy who gave us some helpful tips on where to eat and visit. Every morning at 9am he brought us a homemade delicious and healthy breakfast. Our kitchenette contained a Nespresso machine including a milk frother. From the Beach Shack it is about a 5 min walk to Belongil Beach and a 10-15 min walk to the centre of Byron Bay and Main Beach. Especially if you are a couple, looking for a beautiful and quiet accomodation, this is the place for you!

The beach shack was perfect for a relaxed romantic getaway. Ned was an excellent host, he provided great recommendations on local restaurants and amenities. The breakfast was so tasty and the location is excellent. We would definitely stay again.

the property was clean and beautifully appointed. little touches like jazz playing upon entry and the toiletries in the bathroom. Comfy bathrobes and soft towels .Iron and ironing board and plenty of hanging space . beats a single hotel room as you feel like you have your own little sanctuary. Beach is out of your garden gate and a couple 100 metres walk through the bush . Our hosts were kind, considerate and very entertaining. We will be back !!!

Small pool

Our host, Nenad, was friendly and accommodating (our requests for fresh towels and toiletries were promptly met). Breakfast, prepared by Nenad’s partner Adrian, was fabulous and served promptly each day at 9am. The yoghurt with muesli and fresh fruits was yummy. Location is close to Belongil beach, about 5 min walk. We stayed at two garden villas, and especially like garden villa Myrtle which had a nice and spacious corner garden, that was cool, breezy and quiet with the occasional sounds of birds chirping from the surrounding trees. A great place to unwind for those looking for a quieter place with excellent living facilities.

Our stay at The Beach Shack was wonderful! It's in a great location just a short stroll from the main centre of town and very close to the beach. The room was modern, spacious, and clean. And the staff were lovely and helpful. We will be staying here again for sure.
