We had an issue with the charges initially. Booking.com was more expensive compared to their accomodation's website. I managed to get a refund from booking.com to match the price, however I contacted the property directly earlier about it. The lady on the phone was a little abrupt and made me feel like I was being a pain. She wanted me to cancel my accomodation with refund back to my account to take up to 5 days and then pay again on the spot for my new accomodation, but the room I originally booked wasn't available (even though I was cancelling and rebooking) and wanted me to book a different room. I just said please leave as is as it was close to the travel and I wasn't comfortable with cancelling and rebooking and the process seemed like it didn't make sense, and her comment back to me in quite a rude tone was "I'm just trying to help you get a cheaper price". It was a little disappointing. We found the service around the bar and pool a little slow, we were ignored a few times, staff asked us to sit and waiting for someone to take our order, but twice out of the three times during our stay we ended up going up and ordering ourselves. Once my partner asked the bar tender for service, he also in a pretty abrupt tone told him to go to one of the girls on the floor to be served. Disappointing across as it taints the beautiful experience of the stay.

Amazing location. Truly feel like you are out of the main town grind, it's quiet and peaceful, super relaxing. The rainforest feel and track to the beach was amazing. Pool facility was beautiful. Room was comfortable, spacious and very peaceful.

Disabled parking bays more obvious or at least signposted.

Location was amazing. Accessibility for my elderly father was a bit difficult. Staff, especially Max went out of his way to be very helpful.

Food at the restaurant was lovely. Staff at reception nice and very helpful. The courtesy bikes were excellent for getting to nearby shops and cafes. Room was great with everything needed. Mini bar good though pricey.

The walking areas need maintenance. Many boards are rotting and it looks like the property is not being maintained. One small building has a toilet and it had not been cleaned in a while. It was noticeable from a distance. That was disappointing.

We opted for an eco stay to receive the $20 off at the restaurant but the cleaners said I had to hang it on the door not have it on the bed. Except it didn’t say anywhere to leave it on the door which was a bit disappointing.

Such a beautiful resort and so peaceful I felt like I was sleeping outside in the rainforest it was perfect. We wanted to stay longer!

We would have liked more information about the local area on the screen so we could have researched and been able to see a large scale map etc . Also dimmable lighting in the bedroom or adjustable in all areas might have been good.

The suite was well equipped and very clean. It was useful to have a washing machine and dishwasher. We liked the veranda area with mosquitos netting both sides of the building which were light and restful.

Because we were in the rain forest the rooms were quite dark and the balconies were enclosed and didn't get any sun.

amazing location in the rainforest. Beautiful suite. Lovely pool. Reasonably priced restaurant which was good as further away from Byron Bay than I had expected so we ate in the hotel both nights. Walked along the beach to Byron Bay in the daytime - about 10k each way! - one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been on and almost deserted!

I had to move rooms after the first night because my downstairs rainforest room smelt so damp and was affecting my asthma.
