Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere were 3 spiders in the second room so may be the place needs a touch of pest control. The microwave in the kitchen was a bit too small considering it couldn't even hold the microwave bag to sanitise children's water bottle. Other than these twominor glitches we were very happy with everything.
Awesome location, hosts were good and we had everything we needed. Heating was on by the time we got there and that was definitely a nice touch. We were running late and hosts were able to accommodate that with ease. Overall it was a very relaxing stay exactly what we were after. Fresh bread was lovely and so was all the other facilities such as free netflix etc.

AustraliaA little outside fire. We could of sat out there all night looking at the stars, it was a clear night and maybe a folder with pamphlets of things to do in the local area, some people like hard copies of this.
We can't fault anything, as soon as we walked into The Cottage it was warm and toasty, and a couple of side lamps left on just to make it feel like home. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. An awesome selection of breakfast delights to start the day, and a BBQ to end the day. A surprise was WIFI, was able to look up other things to do in the area. Close to the Hot Springs and other attractions in the area. Perfect for a busy weekend or a relaxing one.

AustraliaNothing too serious but I could not close the blinds over the entrance so the sunlight wasn't blocked but we are early risers anyway.
A great location to stay if you are intending to explore the Peninsula. Super close to the Peninsula Hot Springs. I very much enjoyed the daily restock of butter, OJ & good bread with a great jam & vegemite selection. Fresh towels were given each day and the heater was always turned on for our arrival/return. It is the small touches that make this accommodation super lovely. As we drove up the driveway, you can see rabbits hopping along which is always super cute! Looking forward to stay again if I am in the Peninsula area.

AustraliaThe only thing that we found to be a negative is the access to the ensuite. Although it wasn’t a huge issue for us and we did know this prior to booking , some people may find this an issue - especially if it was two couples sharing this accommodation.
Fingal Farm’s photos don’t do it justice. The location made it perfect for an 8 minute early morning drive to Peninsula Hot Springs and for a stroll up to St Andrews Beach Brewery. Although the accommodation was in close proximity of the main house, each house had a different aspect so we had complete privacy. It was clean and comfortable and the small kitchenette was well stocked . The breakfast provisions were great and we were pleasantly surprised when these and the towels were replaced on a daily basis. The owner Murray met us and gave us some information about the local area . We enjoyed that we could watch Netflix on the Smart TV and it was an easy 20 minute drive to the Sorrento Ferry .

Very friendly welcome from the owners. A beautiful driveway into the farm and a private garden to your own little cottage at the back. Small, basic, but everything we needed for a short stop. They even provided basic amenities like bread milk cereals jams etc which was a very nice touch. Netflix on tv which our daughter loved. They shared a few local recommendations and we were able to catch the sunset at the local beach as a result. Spectacular! Local brewery is a must visit too. Sorry we had to rush off... thanks for the hospitality.
