How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was pretty much perfect. The room, amenities and communication style were great as mentioned. Only things that I can call out ( if I'm being picky) was that the check-in process was a tad confusing until the day of check-in, and that the pool at the apartment was not heated.
Facilities, cost, cleanliness, location and views were all fantastic. Would 100% recommend and stay there again. Easy walk to cafes, restaurants and shops, short drive to the theme parks and the views are amazing.

The balcony was a little small with seating only for four.

It gets hot with the afternoon sun but we were warned about this and advised to leave the blinds down and the aircon on when we went out
The apartment had a fantastic mountain view and was very clean and comfortable. It had little touches in the kitchen in particular that made us feel at home. We had 3 adults and 2 school age children and there was plenty of space

It was a bit clunky during check in and only having one fob to gain entry to apartment was a bit annoying particularly if your travel group wants to seperate to do activities
The apartment was huge. Felt very luxurious and was immaculately clean. Great bath tub of main bedroom.

The property isn’t large for 2 couples and is quite compact for the price. The table in the apartment was unstable due to obviously being previously repaired as a result of collapsing legs.
The property has great views of the ocean and is well equipped and located - it is at least a 10 minute walk from Broadbeach central. The bathroom products were generous and of a good quality. The hosts left a nice bottle of wine as a welcome which was appreciated.

I had thought that I had booked beach views, the date for this booking had changed so not sure if the initial booking had the. Beach views would have made this perfect.
The rooms were spacious and vert clean, Beds very comfy.

Hate to say anything although air conditioning struggled till night
Amazing location short walk to everything, fantastic rooftop pool, great gym, comfortable beds, extremely clean and all the live in residents were lovely!

FOR LIGHT SLEEPERS: If you're staying in the master bedroom and have the air-conditioning on it is quite loud as the unit must be near that room. Also, there are no block out blinds so it is quite bright. I am used to staying at hotels so having to wash dishes, take out rubbish and strip beds of linen was unusual for me but if that's standard and expected then the room is well worth it.
The room looks even better than the pictures. The views from the room and pool were incredible! Everything was clean, modern and functional. Despite not being a hotel it was quite easy to get in touch with the managers to get keys and ask any questions. Location is great, less than a 5-minute walk to the beach.

Can’t think of any drawbacks at all- I would be keen to stay there again.
Great communication from hosts and building manager who responded to all questions promptly- even some unusual questions. The rooftop pool is amazing. The apartments were spotless and very well appointed.

The only downfall was that there was only 1 tv for a 3 bedroom apartment.

The aircon would play up in the middle of day and was cooling only 1 room. The key swipes should also have better key tags for easier identification/recognition.
The property was so clean and inviting. The 2 apartments we booked were amazing and there was enough towels, appliances and other things for us to use.
