Great location and lots of overnight street parking. Loved breakfast at the fireplace. The room and bathroom were very small, but ok for one night.

My room was tiny. No view at all (brick wall). I could have upgraded for a fee but had no idea that the place was that small until I checked in. A/c worked great and bed was comfy.

    Very small but cute.

The bathroom is a little tight and there is no ventilation. It is also difficult when you know the usual going price but see the price jump when a festival is in town. This has happened where we have stayed on non-festival dates and the prices seemingly triple for festival dates for the exact same room and service.

Location is a major plus for our needs. I also liked the most recent room we stayed in, it had a lovely courtyard we could use. It was great to also see the Hotel has taken on customer feed back and corrected some of the previous negatives.

The fridge was very small, I had to take out All of the expensive bar fridge stuff to put my own things in, It was inconvenient

I liked the fact that it was close to everything and my dogs enjoyed the place. We organised our parking and it was sorted easy access in and out whenever we needed

No fan in bathroom, lots of moisture and hard to dry out the room. Notice on bathroom door to keep closed otherwise steam can set off fire alarm requiring fire dept call out fee of $1700. Better solution would be to put a fan in the window.

Great location, close to shops and eateries

Room was a bit old. Bit of a musty smell but it was clean. Limited plug sockets.

Location is great. Hotel has a lot of character, but it is definitely showing its age. It is well priced, so if you're on a budget it should be fine for you.

The floors creaked, the room and bathroom were small. We had to drag our bags up a two flights of stairs, there was no concierge or porter. I don't think it qualifies as a 4 star hotel,, it needs an upgrade, is noisy and has b very limited parking.

It was a good location close to the function we were attending.

It’s close to the road, and you can hear airplane sounds. - but in my mind it’s a con it’s right beside the road and easy transportation.

It’s middle of Bondi beach and Sydney. Bus number 333 and 440 goes all the time. It’s perfect.

    Nothing

It's very Martin Sharp when Sydney was more than a property price and rabbit hutches. The staff were all very hospitable, the room was full of interesting pieces, the bed afforded a most comfortable sleep. You can walk down Oxford Street to town.

The room was quite small - it’s good if you’re not planning on being their long but definitely not much room to move.

Everything! We were here for a concert at the Hordern Pavilion and it was the perfect location - close to the pavilion with great restaurants nearby and in a beautiful neighborhood. Easy to get a bus from central to this spot. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was nice and clean and the hotel has a nice old (but well kept) charm about it. Cafe downstairs is very handy for morning coffees etc. and the rooftop was a nice surprise!

Great location, perfect for those traveling with pets
    • Business trip
    • Couple
    • Queen Room - Pet Friendly
    • Stayed 2 nights

Being in a Pet Friendly room means that you have a tiled floor and a lot less comforts that you would want. It definitely isn't a luxury hotel if you need a pet friendly room. But for the location and access it's very practical. Parking is a challenge...only about 8-9 spots for potentially 30 ish rooms. So we found we could not park inside the gate for our whole stay. The local precinct parking has 2 hour rotation between 8am and 9pm...so if you intend to leave the car for the day...watch out. Finally...the pet room did have an issue with ants. So be careful with open containers.

The location for access to the Eastern suburbs is perfect. Access in is very easy. The hotel offers a complimentary small breakfast (eg ham and cheese croissant and coffee, or yogurt/granola and coffee) for each guest. This was really effective and easy in the morning. Our room was a Pet Friendly room so it came directly off the parking lot, so access for pets was excellent.
