TV was hung on side wall making it impossible to watch from bed. No side lights or bedside lamps so had to have bright ceiling light or pitch black.

located in centre of town but not noisy. grand old hotel. Rooms and whole of accommodation area recently updated. to a high standard. Fairly compact rooms, but functional. Very comfortable bed. Thick sheets. Good option of duvet or light blanket. Modern ensuite bathroom. Good meal choices in hotel downstairs.

Balcony room overlooking car park, noisy vent or kitchen extractor fan right next to room. We didn’t end up using balcony. I feel this should be mentioned when checking in and option to have a normal room. Obviously owners know about this as there are earplugs on the room..

Beautifully renovated, all the creature comforts and friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed and lovely little kitchenette.

Nothing really. It would be nice to have a bedside lamp but we understand that because of the age of the building the wiring isn’t there. A very minor issue!

The single beds were a bit dead. I moved to another room and the bed was marginally better. Single people pay more than thier fair share of the cost of a room per night. The single beds should really be of a better standard as they usually arnt hardy teenagers sleeping on them it's usually overweight for the mattress people although I'm not over weight but I'm still paying $100 a night for an uncomfortable bed. I would like to return to this hotel as I enjoyed it otherwise. Ps a chair in the room and a small table may have been less Spartan Even room for it in the corner of the very large bathroom.

We arrived late and there was no one to assist us with arrival but the key were found where they were meant to be and all was well. Parking could be a little difficult after dark but overall a great stay.

Breakfast was unavailable there on the premises but there were many cafe's just up the road so it really was not a problem. The room we had was huge in the bathroom area but small and cosy for the sleeping area.

Our room had no chairs, only the bed which would have been fine had the tv been on the wall in front of the bed. Our room had the tv high on a side wall which made it very uncomfortable to watch anything. We were there on a Monday night which was nice and quiet but the fact that ear plugs are provided in the room makes me a bit nervous about noise levels on a Friday or Saturday. Also for some reason there was only one hook in the bathroom for the hand towel and no where to hang the towels.

The hotel is nicely renovated and the room was a good size with a comfortable bed, bar fridge,a hot plate, kettle and toaster enabling a simple breakfast in the room.

They need too offer the guests a room service if they want too enjoy the quiet in their rooms. Also they don't give you a massive tray too carry everything. If someone was carrying all the food and drinks up those stairs it would be so dangerous if they tripped up them.

No lift to upstairs ( all rooms are upstairs). No window in our room - But room is large enough to not really be a problem.

Located above the pub, noise wasnt a issue for us. ( ear plugs found in bedside table if needed), Bed was comfortable, a little firm but not rock hard. Large shower and good water pressure.
