I am a smoker. If anything wasn't perfect, it would be that I had to go outside for a cigarette instead of out on the balcony. Inconvenient but by no means a deal breaker.

Service was terrible. From day 1 to last day there the staff made my stay at this hotel the worst experience ever. Day 1: called at 11am to ask if I can show up earlier. Been told check in is at 2pm and there’s a $20 fee for an early check in. I showed up at 1.30pm and been told I still have to wait 2pm. I was tired, it was my birthday and all I wanted was to have a shower. Nope, no flexibility from the staff. At 2.00pm a lady from the staff checked me in and with a very annoyed attitude showed me my room. Didn’t appreciate that. Day 2: came back from the city starving and ordered dinner. Been told the kitchen closes at 9pm. It was 9.06pm. Again, no flexibility. Been offered desserts and nothing else Day 3: I left at 6.30am after I packed everything but there is no reception and no one was around to leave my luggage outside my room. Called them at 9.30am to ask if I have to be physically there for the check out at 10 and been told there’s a late check out fee if I don’t get there by 10 and yes I have to be physically there. Mentioned I haven’t been able to leave my luggage outside the room and I have asked them to just take my backpack out if they need to clean the room. Been told they cannot do that so the $20 fee will have to be paid. Again, no flexibility. If you want to stay here, just keep in mind life cannot happen. You have to commit to their rules to a T. They’ll show no flexibility at all and they won’t help with anything. Also the staff wasn’t very friendly except for one lady that asked me if she could help when I was looking for a food menu. Also the heater was such a joke. It would be either too warm or too cold. Very loud. Not a chance you can make it work properly. No phone in the room and no one to call in case you need something during night hours

Location was great. Right next to the bus stop. Easy access to the city. Clean common space. Comfy bed.

We didn't like the idea that we had to leave. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. My family & friends truly enjoyed their stay at Mile End Hotel.

Firstly.., I loved one of the staff members., "Connor", he had a lovely mannerism, was very charming, was very on-point & was SO helpful before we even arrived for our stay. We had a dilemma, we had 2 camper trailers & 3 x 4-wd's & wanted to make sure our vehicles would be safe. Connor went out on a limb & sourced 'witches hats' to reserve/hold '5' hotel parking spots for all of our vehicles during our stay.

False advertising regarding "private bathroom", it was not in the room and was shared with other guests. Also, the balcony was closed and this was not clear when booking.
