How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Would say that the shower needs to be siliconed as there was mould and the couches needed to be rearranged and the dead cricket behind the spa needed to be removed and maybe a full length mirror added to the bedroom.

We stayed in the Spa suite which was very large and had a fantastic bathroom. Loved having breaky provided, cereal & toast to make in the room. Would definitely stay there again.

Kettle was burnt with black metal inside and foul smell and liquid like it hasn't been cleaned for a long time. I called and it was promptly replaced with a clean one. The bathroom tap was always giving out hot water no matter which way you turned the tap, it will always turn hot within a few seconds.
Great size room (room 16), large bathtub with seperate twin shower head looked very modern and very clean. TV screen facing couch is great and allows streaming off a phone which is handy. On a Sat night, you can hear music noise downstairs in the hallway but not inside the room. Single beds had wheels which made it easy to move around. Great room and location for families.

The shower was dirty, the road noise was a lot and the fire doors in each room bang shut very easily, other guests did struggle with this early morning.
Good sized room, a fantastic selection of complementary breakfast options and good amount of milk.

Very convenient. Easy parking at no extra cost. Room was well equipped and very large. Bed was very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise. No noise from road or hotel restaurant.

The shower could do with a good scrub and we found 2 cockroaches in the room. The remainder of the room and stay was great.

Some of the bathroom fixtures were loose or ill fitted and the 'breakfast' offerings were basic, but they were also complimentary.
The room and bathroom were large and comfortable and the staff were very helpful in accomodating our requests. The motel was pretty quiet, given that it sits over a pub.

Friendly reception which swiftly dealt with the essentials. Room was of a very good size with plenty of furnishings including a sofa, table, and chairs as well as a large comfortable bed. Quiet upstairs room. Very large bathroom with vanity and shower with great water pressure and good array of complimentary toiletries. On site restaurant which provided a wide range of meal choices for very moderate prices. A wide range of complimentary breakfast choices was also made available in the room. Well located for the local shopping centre as well as providing easy access to local roadways to surrounding districts and Melbourne City itself.

A few more hanging spaces in the bathroom
We just needed accommodation in the Mornington area for one night and we were really pleasantly surprised by the standard of the rooms. We had a standard suite which was a very large room. Was also much quieter than we expected. Parking was near the room so didn’t have to carry the bags far

Internet connection was unstable. There were a few maintenance issues. One tap was missing a lever, some drawer fronts needed re-fixing, and only 3 coat hangers were provided. 1 bedside light did not work. These did not affect our stay, so we did not bring them to their attention.
(Room 20) Large room, very clean. Breakfast items provided and also robes were unexpected. Chrome cast was great. Great service by the housekeeping team. Helen was always helpful and friendly
