It was wonderful that there was a tram stop right outside the front door. The staff were very helpful when we needed them!

I can't say that there was anything that I didn't like. As mentioned, they really were just incredibly hospitable and kind and provided us with a safe place for the night when we really were in dire straits. I am just so thankful and grateful for their support in accommodating us at such short notice.

The booking was VERY short notice! Although it seemed to be an anomoly for them to approve a booking at such short notice due to an issue we had with the AirBNB we had booked, they treated us with kindness and empathy and did everything they could expeditiously to ensure we got to our room as quickly as possible. The staff were absolutely amazing.

My sister and I had a night out at the AO tennis. We could easily walk from The Motley Hotel to the tennis and back again safely late at night. We loved the complimentary drink on arrival and had a delicious breakfast in the morning. The staff were welcoming, friendly and fun. Thank you!

Excellent hotel. Quirky, interesting decor. Lovely, helpful staff. Clean rooms. Very comfortable beds. Lovely sitting area with comfy leather chairs in foyer. Great rooftop bar. Great location close to tennis, gardens and city. Eating places close by. We loved staying there and have already recommended it to friends. We will definitely be back. Everything was superb! Staff ultra friendly. Very boutiquey vibe! Super comfortable. Divine cosy leather lounges. Amazing restaurant Ms Parkers for bfast, lunch & dinner - where we did exactly that for the 3 days we were in Melbourne for the tennis.

We liked the friendly welcome and atmosphere created at the Motley and the room and communal areas were well decorated modern, quality fittings. The staff were extremely helpful and wiling to go the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. The food in the restaurant was first class and good value for money ( best risotto I have tasted).

Parking was a bit of an issue staying there for a few days but once we found a local party garage it was fine. Bathroom was a little snug when getting changed but not a huge deal.

Nothing - this was a fantastic hotel and we can't believe that we didn't know about it already.

This property is in a fantastic location - minutes from the MCG, on the main streets of Richmond, and a short tram ride into the city of Melbourne. There were plenty of eateries around the property to choose from. The staff were amazing. We stayed there for two nights, with my child having surgery at the nearby Epworth Hospital, and all staff were very attentive to all of our needs (24 hours). The rooms were very comfortable with plenty of space, free movies on the TV to keep my recovering kid satisfied, along with excellent free internet. Bathrooms were spacious and superbly appointed. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay here again for other events in the city.

The hotel staff were nothing short of amazing. I had specific requests and Celestine at reception did everything she could without over-promising — the essence of exceptional customer service. She helped make travelling with a toddler much easier. From help with food and beverage orders (cafe/restaurant) to local tram guidance (front office), they were outstanding. The location is perfect, right on the tram line on the Main Street of Richmond, however the hotel is very quiet. The room and hotel eclectic furnishings were all beautiful — new, sparkling clean and contemporary (without being too garish). Thank you, and special thanks to Celestine — you truly are an invaluable asset to The Motley.
