We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The breakfast hot selection was extensive and portion sizes generous. Buffet included chia puddings, toast, pastries, butter, jams, vegemite, peanut butter,tea and coffee. Furnishings very comfortable and views spectacular. I loved Alan , the pianist, playing in the bar on Friday and Saturday evenings. A real gentleman with an extensive musical repertoire.

Nice view to see the blue mountains area, vintage building and decorations which is one of the reasons that I picked this hotel. Very impressed about how clean my room was, specially the spa tub. Enjoyed the real wood fire heater as well.

Great location, size of room was big, and staff were great (they had a cot ready in the room when I checked in for my 1yr old).

AustraliaA very minor detail of no hair-dryer in the room. I'm sure if I asked they would have provided one but it was not a real problem.
The location is an easy walk to the station and main street with some of the best views in town. At first I thought the outside looked a bit tired but upon entering the hotel, the lovely old world charm of cosy sitting areas and open fireplaces along with the gorgeous original staircase gave us a warm welcome. Our room was large and spotless with magnificent views over the valley and Katoomba township. The dining area had breathtaking views and delicious food. All in all it was like a trip back in time that we enjoyed with great and very friendly staff.

AustraliaThe hotel is definitely very tired, however this didn't really bother us too much. However I did book a room and specifically request a twin set up. However this didn't make it through the comms to the hotel. This could be an issue with Booking.com rather than the hotel. My room was set up with a double bed and then the sofa bed. I tried to sleep on the sofa bed, however lasted 5 minutes before giving up. It was absolutely terrible and you could feel every single wire from the mattress. I have small kids (not with me on this trip) and I don't think this would even be ok for a small child to sleep in. Thankfully the hotel converted our room the next day into a twin. So if you need to use the sofa bed, I'd recommend booking somewhere else!
Liked the old world charm of this hotel. The view from the bar and lounge areas is fantastic. It's super close to the centre of Katoomba so an easy walk to restaurants. The staff were really friendly and responsive when I had an issue.
