The table is extremely small. The fruit knife couldn’t be used. The ventilation in the bathroom is not good and the windows couldn’t get open.

A nice location. Close to everything. The balcony is a plus.

Nothing it was fabulous.

It was the perfect location, really central, on the Main Street. Lovely swimming pool, really quiet given its adults only. The people running the Newport were so nice and helpful. We had such a nice trip, it couldn’t have been better. The apartment was fabulous.

We stay here often. It’s the best location and plenty of facilities so you don’t always have to eat out.

It was a large spacious apartment in a great location, with friendly and very helpful staff. Comfy beds and although our apartment faced onto Macrossan Street there was no road sound from the street below. Thanks Patrick for all your help.

The pool was a little warm but this was due to the heatwave, otherwise still a great pool and outdoor area.

The staff were amazing and so friendly, always smiling and up for a chat at the reception!. Our bus was scheduled to pick us up later in the afternoon and the staff offered us a late check out and organised this with no hassle. Location is perfect, very central.

I like a very big and fluffy pillow, although it is very rare for a hotel to have one that suits my taste perfectly.

The Newport on Macrossan is located on the Main Street in Port Douglas surrounded by great restaurants and shops. Pat was friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to help us out after my son left his glasses behind. Our room was quiet at night. The pool and seating area were lovely during the hot days. The apartment was stocked with all that we needed. I'd definitely stay there again.

Some of the fixtures were a little tired in the studio that we had (such as the cabinet housing the TV) but to be honest it was excellent value for money given this and the location we didn’t mind !

Room was smaller than I expected (and compared to the other places I'd stayed for a similar price, in Sydney and Brisbane). Couldn't see any reason why there was no microwave either

Lots of stairs (but they do advise of this in advance). Studio room small if there was 2 adults. Shower over bath was difficult to step into (because it's over a double spa bath).

Fantastic location in the heart of town. Off street parking. Good value for money. Quiet. Bed and pillows very comfy.

Stairs .. not necessarily a problem, but could be for people with mobility issues. Or slow old people like me.

Personal management met/ greeted us. They also provided future upgrade as we live not far away and we continue to go back to this accom.
