How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The apartment was beautifully decked out and felt like a home away from home. Beautiful little touches like nice linen, good set of cookware coffee machine, hand soaps etc made it super comfortable! We will look forward to staying again.

My Hilux was to large for the underground parking

Process of getting keys from two locations was unusual, would’ve preferred all keys collected from same place.
Beautifully designed unit with all the essentials. Excellent communication from the host.

No wifi and although location was perfect for us to visit family, there are not many services within walking distance.
Very neat and tidy modern apartment, had everything we needed for a two night stay. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.

Two small personal concerns; fragrance diffusers, the perfume for us was overpowering and was an issue for partner with respiratory issues (resolved by placing all 4 diffusers in a cupboard). We felt cautious when entering unit that the artwork at ground level would get damaged. These are by no means a complaint, perhaps just consideration for the greater demographic and needs of others. On a side note, carpark not suited to bigger vehicles the like of Landcruiser.
Location and the quietness. Secure car parking.

There is nothing we could suggest to improve the amenity of this 'home away from home' accommodation.
We supplied our own food for the stay but the basics like salt / pepper, tea / coffee & water / soap & washing facilities were all available. The style of accommodation is an unserviced single bedroom apartment with all amenities expected of a private residence. We encountered difficulty when initially attempting to access the property (due to an unlawful attempt to access prior to our arrival) but the response of Craig and Tania (the owners) was exceptional and included organizing overnight accommodation whilst they remedied the damage caused by that attempt. Communication between the owners and ourselves was first-rate and we would recommend this property and its owners to all and sundry. "If you are looking for a longer stay in very comfortable, self sufficient accommodation with good transport access to Melbourne city then this is the place to choose."

upon entering there was a lovely scent in the apartment; however during the first evening i figured out that the strong scents were giving me a headache and had to move some out.
Location was great! Quite close to the motorways for a day trip, and shops are only a short walk away

The amount of space in the apartment was great! You could cook if you wanted to, enjoy the balcony or vege out on the couch if you wanted to.

Less clutter & places for suitcases x 2. We have not seen so Meany pillows on bed & couch. When you sit on balcony you hear the garage gate all day people coming & going. But at night its ok. To get the key was a bit of an acted. There could be a bit more length on the chain in lock box to get fob to get in to the garage. Then to unlock another lockbox to get key for the apartment.
The RSL was just on the other corner & had great meals. But is closed on Sunday. Nice and modern & has open pantry which was good. Coles was short drive down the road. Large fridge freezer. Bed is comfortable & nice shower. Had a lift to get suitcases up stairs.
