My personal preference for sleeping is medium firm pillow. The pillows on the bed were extra firm. Not my choice of pillow for a comfortable sleep. The bed was comfortable. The Bathroom was acceptable, albeit compact. It's been a long time since I've had to share a bathroom. The restaurant was extremely busy. Saturday night, understandable with other groups booked in. The line up to order food took an hour from arriving in the back of the queue to arriving at the counter to order. The food then took another hour and a half to be ready. (With the number of patrons that had to catered for, that is understandable, but not necessarily acceptable). Once picked up, the food was delicious. Cooked well and very tasty. I enjoyed every mouthful. By the time I recieved my order I was very hungry. Perhaps on a different evening things may be different, but I wasn't there on a different evening. I was with a group of a about 25 or or so people, in Coffs Harbour, for a meeting and only stayed the one night. Parking is limited for guests staying overnight.

The facilities are clean and the staff are helpful and pleasant. They went out of their way to accommodate our group in the private dining area.

The room had a strong smell like sanitising or deodorising spray. There was a locked door between our room and the bathroom of an adjoining room which sound passed through easily.

Clean and comfortable, but rooms were very basic. Kitchen had microwave and tea / coffee making facilities including proper milk to use from the fridge and cold water in the fridge. Saturday night noise from the pub didn't bother us and we couldn't hear the road from our room.

I should have paid more attention to the fact that the room wasn’t air conditioned. The room was cooled by a noisy fan and a window held open by a bit of wood. Of note unfortunately was that where the bistro was the front windows were open to the highway traffic making it quite noisy. Also cigarette smokers outside the front windows whose smoke came into the bistro area,made it very uncomfortable and a health hazard. Perhaps closing the front windows and signs to move on smokers from the front of the building? Asked to borrow a hair dryer-not available but staff admitted an idea for the future.

The hotel is centrally located and easy walk to town. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food in the bistro was excellent. Surprisingly quiet at night.

Staff very friendly and professional, able to accomodate us when we asked for a late checkout. The restaurant downstairs has a fantastic seafood platter.

No air conditioning. Was very uncomfortably hot and needed windows open to get some air flow, but because the was on highway, meant we has the noise of trucks disturbing our sleep all night. One room had a broken fan and they replaced with an evaporative cooler which didn't do anything so needed to go and get portable fan for 2nd night.

The room was beautiful. Beds comfortable and had all been recently renovated. Close to main centre.

The only thing that stops me from giving it the highest of ratings is that it was extremely hot in the unit. Even one split system in the living room would have made things far more comfortable on our stay

Most definitely the service & how lovely the staff were!

Location of the Hotel was great, service was excellent! I’ve got a few concerns about the stay unfortunately despite the fantastic staff & their service! The room was clean, well managed. But, other then the bin wasn’t bigger then a coke bottle was awful… our “side table” was a damn stool.. oh not to mention you’ll have to share your room with some other guests ( cockroach’s! ) ah, can’t forget the ceiling fan… no aircon on a 35 degree day/night! Struggled to sleep :(. But other than that! Definitely recommend… just BYO aircon/heater & maybe bug spray and an extra bin😆.

No aircon in rooms, and the bistro was also very hot. However the staff noted that the aircon will be installed during upcoming renovations. Ceiling fans were installed

I am fussy with hygiene , so attention to detail when cleaning is important for me, but otherwise okay

Very well presented. It is in central location but our room was facing a busy road so it was quite noisy. We did not need to use the car as it is conveniently located. The convenience of having the bistro downstairs was a bonus and the food was very good.
