How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The breakfast at the hotel is extremely disappointing. The presentation is great and staff are friendly but the food is not up to standard for a 5 star hotel. The food options are limited when you select breakfast with your booking and the quality of the juices provided are unacceptable.
The location of the hotel is perfect. You are extremely close to transportation and shops.

the staff didn't answer the phone most of the time when I was calling the room serves was poor they didn't bring new supplies when they clean
the room facilities were very modernistic youu can control everything in tje room from a tablet however there was no remote control for the TV

The check-in foyer felt cramped and not particularly inviting. When I arrived, there was a bit of a line, and it just seemed a bit disorganized. I completely understand space is a big factor. However, the rooms made up for this big time so that really was not much of an issue!
The room was really nice, the styling and technology made the stay really pleasant. The bathroom was really nice and the beds were really comfy

Nothing. It was a great stay. I did not use the fitness room or the swimming pool because I did not have the time, but they looked great. Totally recommend the place.
cosy and flash at the same time. room well equipped. delicious breakfast. great location. system of room control on iPad was quite handy. Nice devices in the room. Good shower. Pleasant room temperature.

The customer service is hit and miss unfortunately. The person I have spoken with when I checked in and out were lovely but the room service (phone) wasn't. I wish the hotel offer normal water, the complimentary water they offer taste weird so I have to go to the nearest Woolies to get my own water. The internet they offer is not reliable since I keep disconnecting on my device so it is better to use your own internet.
The location of the hotel is amazing! Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The swimming pool is a must to do whilst waiting for the sunset. The bed is comfortable. The room is nice, clean and modern.

A year old so nice and new. Lights, curtains and temperature controlled by Ipad. Clean. Nice decor. Great location. In walking distance to so many restaurants and cafes. Very friendly staff.

Upgrade of one room much appreciated; checkin and restaurant/ cafe staff great; food options really good - breakfast was exceptional, henry's was great for a very good light dinner and dixsons had great food in a lovely space, if slightly limited menu; wine advice at dinner great. Rooms lovely. Gym very good.

Well Booking.com, for some reason, my room was not booked once I arrived. The hotel did not receive any notification from you about me coming, luckily they had a room available. I think it would be a good idea for the hotel to keep scales, so that tourists can weigh their bags before leaving for the airport. Something silly, but I had a pair of running socks blow onto the balcony that is inaccessible due to the window not opening entirely. I received a letter from reception saying that there would be window cleaners outside during the week. So I asked 3 times at reception, if the cleaners could retrieve my socks for me. I did not hear anything back from the 3 different receptionists I spoke to. It is silly, but I really loved those socks!
I enjoyed the different types of pillows that were offered, the Nespresso pod machine & how the iPad could be used to control everything.

I loved everything! It was so classy and such good price. It was the perfect location, our rooms were cleaned each day with fresh towels, the facility control on the iPads are such a great idea which I’ve never seen before. Would 1000% stay again.

A few channels on the TV did not work or would freeze for a few minutes at a time..
Being able to control everything in the room with the iPad was something that came to a very exciting surprise, I had not seen that in a hotel before.. it was helpful and just quite fun

Be mindful that lower floor rooms will face the wall of the building next door.
New hotel in the centre of Sydney CBD. Good soundproofing - it is very quiet considering that it is in the middle of the CBD. Brand new fixtures and fittings, robes and Appelle body products. Lovely restaurant downstairs (only sampled breakfast menu).

We didn’t love that the process of using the lifts up to our room was not always easy-having to tap our room key and it not working every time was annoying. The 10% Sunday surcharge added to our breakfast without our knowledge was inappropriate.
We loved the hotel. The interior design was impecable, smart technology in the room was great. The location was exceptional-close to everything. Very chic and luxe.
