We absolutely loved staying at the Red Lotus Retreat! It had the feel of being somewhere tropical. The decor was lovely, everything was beautifully appointed, and the bed was very comfortable with beautiful linens. The host has added lots of little extra touches. The retreat also has a gorgeous outdoor bath which was very special! Not to mention the resort style swimming pool which was wonderful for lounging around and swimming🤩 and great place to have happy hour 🍸. We also had the pleasure or meeting the hosts and they are a very nice and helpful couple! We really enjoyed our relaxing stay in the retreat and would certainly go back again if we are visiting Mudgee🤩

Would have liked the pool to have been heated. But later in the year it will be great. Take note there is no convection oven in the kitchen, only the micro which was fine for us. The 2 hot plates are good and excellent fridge and freezer + dish washer, coffee maker etc

The Retreat is totally private and peaceful with a very nice outlook and it really gets the sunshine, The little courtyard is great as is the outdoor bath. The hosts have done a terrific job and are delightful - its all very well appointed with the high quality fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable indeed. Spacious kitchen and dining area We would very highly recommend the Retreat for visiting Mudgee, minutes away from the town, located on a large property overlooking the hills

If planning to cook, be aware there is no oven. However there is a microwave and a weber BBQ outside for roasting and grilling.

We did not need it but one thing that if there was anything to add to this would be a washing machine/dryer as if staying for a longer period of time you may want to do your washing - but we did not need this service and Mudgee would have a laundry mat im sure.

The whole accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and tidy - plenty of bathroom linen available. Thankyou for this little retreat.

The internet was a bit hit and miss at times.

From the inital message and pictures about how to access the property from the hosts to meeting the family dog and chiiliing in the swimming pool. it was a delightful 4 days in Mudgee and a joy to come back to the Red Lotus Retreat after a hard day of restaurants and wine tastings (LOL). Great location and a beautiful retreat. Lovely, clean, spacious environment with a great kitchen that you can actually cook in. Great aircon and comfortable retreat and even some kangaroos hopping around. Great fun stay, thanks again.

Finding the place was a little tricky but no big deal. Other than that nothing really ....

The location, whilst a little out of town, is great. Quiet, green and a nice part of town. Kangaroos on the lawn each day we were there. We were also very impressed with both the thoughtfulness of the host (small treats everywhere) as well as the attention to detail. Everything was well done.

There was nothing we didn't like.

A beautiful home away from home. One of the best places we've stayed. Sharon and Peter are so welcoming and have created a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere on their property. If you want to stay amongst all the action - this isn't the place for you. It's on the edge of town, but just a short drive from the main hub. Stay to unwind, relax, soak in the tub, enjoy a local wine and a cheese platter by the fire pit, watch the kangaroos or go for a walk. The countryside is lovely.

Heads up to others - The kitchen had everything but an oven. In case you’re wanting to cook at home you’ll be relegated to BBQ & cook top. Minor feedback - Garbage bin would be useful in the kitchen, we just used a plastic bag on the sink instead. But we got by over a couple nights no biggy. - The plants on the walk way to the backyard need a trim. I slipped over on them in the night when I was carrying wood as they’re completely covering the walk way. - Some fire starters would be useful as the wood was all damp. We purchased some and left them behind for the next guests.

- Lovely quiet location, very spacious and great amenities. The pool, fireplace and outdoor baths were game changers. Made the stay as enjoyable as Mudgee itself. - Clear instructions to the property & access and swift reply on text regarding taxi info.

Absolutely nothing, it was a perfect experience.

The attention to detail was amazing. So many small hidden touches. The more time we spent, the more relaxing the experience was. I can't thank the hosts enough for providing a great experience for us and look forward to visiting again in the future. Highly recommended for newlyweds!!

We didn't have the correct code for the lock box for the keys, luckily the owners were around and sorted it for us.

About the only thing that could be improved on would be some signage on the entrance to make it a little easier to find on arrival. Other than that, all good.

A quiet self-contained and private retreat - perfect size for a couple. Highly recommended location.
