A few a little things. One toilet I went to,the door latch was a bit sketchy and it almost got stuck.I thought for a moment am I gonna be stuck in here? And one shower room didn't have a light working. I don't like if you pay for something at the bar with card you get a surcharge.

The location was fantastic! Right in the middle of it all. I felt sceptical about staying in a pub room but I was pleasantly surprised! My room felt clean and secure. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's a nice pub to have a few casual drinks at. I liked the whole Reschs Beer theme of it. The beer and ginger beer tasted good. I tried a Brisket pie and was very tasty!

Room on the street noisy. I asked to love after first night to a new room didn’t even get a response. It’s not accessible. I recently broke my leg so going up the stairs with my bag was hell, having to go up more stairs to the shower was not great.

If there was a table it would be good. There isn't a TV, so if you watch something on a laptop or tablet (the WiFi sometimes cut out while listening to streamed music), it is difficult. In a double room there is only one chair. Other city pubs offer a kettle for tea/coffee, a microwave and fridge (sometimes in the room or shared). This would be a good improvement. The humidity was high while I was there and the ceiling fan worked, but there is no air con and it was unpleasant. The location is central and great, but if you are a light sleeper, it would be better to choose elsewhere.

It was clean. The downstairs bar staff were very friendly.

The light from Liverpool street was very bright and wasn’t blocked out by the blinds. Understandable because it’s a Main Street. Perhaps some block out blinds of a different design would be beneficial.

Shower walls clean but the drain was clogged up with hair etc so water didn't drain away properly. No tea/coffee facility.

Location, staff in the pub were helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed.

While there were two fans in our room it was quite hot even in October. There was an air con but we could not find the controller. No noise from neighbours or downstairs but lots of noise from outside all night. Bring earplugs!

Beds were comfortable, toilet was clean, neighbours were quiet. We didn’t have to speak to anyone to get into the room, or at any point in our stay. Friendly staff however! Perfect for introverts. Right next to metro theatre too where we saw a concert. No problems as a queer couple either! Highly recommend

Super comfy beds and pillows, clean, cute, amazing location, what else could you want. My room was on the top level so the street noise was minimal. What an amazing budget option, would be happy to stay here again. The sink in the room is a huge bonus and there are plenty of the shared, lockable bathroom facilities, which are nicely modernised. The check in system with the codes is also very clever. It's all very well thought out.

The noise! You MUST bring earplugs, the silicon ones work best. You are staying on the main strip in Sydney and. As expected, there are night clubs surrounding you. This is fine if you have earplugs, but a nightmare without.

The bed and linen made the whole experience soooo much better. The room was super clean and the check in system was excellent.

Quite noisy and blind doesn't block out light. USB ports didn't work (although I found some behind the bed that did), no tv but there are some in the pub downstairs. Take earplugs!

Great decor, nicely Australian without being jingoist and is centred around what the building was/is. Great location. I think there were a few teething problems but it is going to be a good budget boutique-y experience once sorted. Felt like being in a Peter Carey book.
