The hotel needs a revamp. The decor is outdated. There’s wear and tear and the there’s ingrained mould stains in the bathroom. The food at the bistro was not of a quality that I’m used to for the price.

It was very windy when we stayed and the wind howled through a gap in the window all night, even though the window was closed tight.

Paid for secure parking. However the roller door was strapped up and could not close. This did not make the parking secure by any means. And when I spoke to the staff about the roller door being in constant open position. They didnt know anything about it. Nor was I offered a discount or no charge. As I paid for something that was not provided. There was no alarm clock in my room. And when I spoke to reception regarding this. They took my details and room number. But still no alarm clock was placed in my room. Breakfast was poor really. Food over cooked next to no flavour and was not enjoyable at all. I felt for the money spent. This accommodation was not value for dollars. Way overpriced. I feel they need to re-evaluate. I would not stay again or recommend.

I thought check in and out was quite good. Rooms was alright.

Parking was a little confusing to begin with, however once we familiarised ourselves, parking was easy and the lift access to our room was direct and fast.

The room was super clean and comfortable. It was also very spacious for a twin room and very easy to access.

Bistro is very ordinary in terms of seating etc. Needs to be updated and inclusive for all sizes and shapes. Room wasn’t cleaned to standard.

The location was convenient- right between city centre and the beaches.

Some of the furnishings are a bit tired - damaged chair and curtain hanging off rail. It probably wouldn’t matter if you hadn’t paid $400 for the room? Staff were literally never at the counter and there was no bell - meaning a five minute wait if you needed anything. Two staff members were sitting chatting in the office and I couldn’t get their attention to check in. I tried calling out but couldn’t make myself heard. It wasn’t until someone from the restaurant brought their dinner to them and let them know I was there that they came and served me.

5 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the foreshore. The staff were exceptional, helpful, accommodating, I needed specific help and they were only too happy to help. They hit the perfect balance between professional and friendly 👍

Bedding smelt stagnant. Room had a very strong odour (not unpleasant as such and cannot put my finger on what it was but just overwhelming) Curtains didn’t shut properly (high but not closing rods)

I found the staff member/receptionist a bit rude, also there was no early checkin available even after requesting it 2days before the check in date, we asked for 1hour early check in as we reached early and was with our baby who needed to be changed, they asked us to wait till the check in time at 3pm , took our number to call if room is ready before time ( which didn’t happen) , we waited at reception and up until 3:05 no one bothered, then I myself went to ask him again if the room is ready now and he said yes. Hello ! You could have just told me urself , I was sitting there at reception and would have appreciated it with a crying toddler

The rooms are a bit dull and industrial looking, breakfast options very slim compared to sydney novotel at the same price.
