The cottage didn't have wifi, which didn't bother us, but good to know. Other than that we were sorry to leave our dirty dishes, because it felt strange to wash them in the bathroom sink as there is no kitchen. All in all just minor points.

A lovely cottage in Otways, a beautiful rainforest. It was easy to do self check-in and the cottage was well equipped and was super cosy with a firewood heater. It was very clean and had a nice view. It had quiet surroundings, and you hear nothing except for nature. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to do the trails nearby, otherwise we would definitely have visited. The strength of the shower is very good btw, and they had quite a few brochures for attractions nearby which was very useful.

The carpets in the cottage are in need of upgrade. The price is high compared to others in the locale. The decorations are unique and brilliant but let down by ikea furnishings! While it was clear on the booking, the lack of kitchen (or even just a sink) is a mystery! It would so make it perfect!

The Source is a brilliant farm in the otways. The facilities are starting to feel a little tired, which is take nothing away from the brilliance of the location and ambience.

Lovely farm stay with stunning private tracks down to the rainforest with waterfalls. Very clean and comfortable cabin. Very peaceful.

Wouldve preferred there be a kitchenette in the cottage.

The property was absolutely beautiful... a perfect time of the year to visit. A think beautiful blanket of mist, drizzling rain and green. Everything was lush and green and thriving.

Consumables were not sufficiently provided. For example, we had to buy our own coffee and firewood, even though these things were supposed to be included. I was horrified to receive a threat of a cleaning bill after we had left the property for a mark on the carpet, when the carpet was horribly dirty as well as stained. We didn't mind it being dirty as we were travelling with our dogs, but I found the phonecall after the event to be threatening and unreasonable. Funnily enough, I didn't hear back from the owners after I pointed out my concerns.

The food was provided without proper consultation about what was being served. As a result, we paid a premium for food that had to be discarded due to intolerances. One host was lovely but forgetful so did not deliver the things he had promised. The other host was difficult to deal wth and not transparent.

Lack of attention to detail in the accommodation - we were not provided with hand soap, bin bags, or any kitchen cleaning cloths. We arrived to find dirty sheets from the previous guests had been left on the couch. The only cookware provided (two pans) were burnt to the point of being unusable. Blown/missing lights in the bathroom and lounge room. No kitchen sink meaning that dishes had to be cleaned in the bathroom basin (next to the toilet). There was evidence of animal faeces on the plywood wall that appeared to block the remainder of the kitchen.

The location was fantastic, the private walks were wonderful, and the glow worms were a sight to behold.

Location & cottage was exactly as described: offgrid, peaceful & tranquil. Small holding farm with geese, goats, peacocks & 8 new born piglets on our arrival day.

Really enjoyed our stay, especially the waterfalls, glow worms and baby goats. The trails to some of the waterfalls were a bit more challenging than we expected, but a lot of fun and the waterfalls were very pretty.

Exceptional nature experience! Vita and Fabian were the most welcoming hosts and have created such a cosy little getaway. Despite the low outside temperatures the rooms were nice and worm thanks to a brilliant fireplace. The hosts recommended us a place on their vast property were we could see light-worms after sunset, which was a truly amazing experience. Also the walks through the forest on their property were just stunning with multiple waterfalls at the doorstep!

property not maintained well. property had the kitchen boarded up. no aircon no tv no wifi no games that were complete with all pieces. windows and front door without fly screens. beds not made up. owner living 2 metres from you. No privacy. you need to walk through paddocks of cows to get to rainforest. there was no map for rainforest trails. Owners would come and knock on your door throughout your stay. No options for food besides pre order 24 hrs prior for owners to cook breakfast and dinner at an overpriced cost and did not have a menu on hand. All bad $300 a night purely for access to the waterfalls which does require holding on to a rope to get up and down steep muddy decline. I’ve never been so disappointed in all my 40 years of traveling around the world.

welcome email only sent 4 hrs prior to arrival, luckily had food with us but there was only a microwave to use in the cottage (no stove). I’m sure had we had mentioned to the lovely hosts they would have assisted us with heating up dinner (they were very lovely and approachable)

amazing hosts, amazing locations! back door rainforest and lovely farm with goats, geese, cows, peacocks. pet friendly. Was superbly clean on arrival (carpets steam cleaned) and big box of firewood (which we end up using despite being summer). didn’t realise it was an eco resort until arrival, really nice technology detox, lots of family board games and toys in the cottage
