Finding the reception area wasn’t easy and we had to go searching for a member of staff to check us in once we did find it. Breakfast was included in the room rate but this didn’t include our coffee unless we wanted instant. There were no bedside lamps in our room. The window in our room was covered with a sheet of discoloured Perspex so we couldn’t see out. There may not have been a great view but it would have been better than cutting out most of the natural light.

The bed was comfortable and our room was spotlessly clean. The property has a lift which made moving our suitcases upstairs much easier.

Breakfast was cold and it was very cold sitting in the breakfast area.

Bathroom was beautiful. The bed really comfortable. I liked the old world feel and the Titanic vibe of the chandelier.

We told the hotel it was our engagement present and no acknowledgement was made unfortunately. Also the tv remote in our room didn't work so we couldn't use the streaming services which was a bit disappointing.

Breakfast was included in the price - it wasn't a buffet which is fine but any extras you had to pay for and given they were standard extras they should be included - Given the competition in the area I would probably go elsewhere purley based on the breakfast. Also checkin could have been friendlier............

The tv didn’t work and there were no guides provided to explain how to use it. It would’ve been nicer if the room was darker as well. Felt quite light.

The bed was really comfy, the complimentary breakfast was amazing, the bathtub and bathroom was lovely. The location was perfect!

Housekeeping was not good

Nice old world hotel a bit out of the main city centre but the free bus goes past regularly. The carpets and lift were dirty and needed vacuuming but overall it was ok. Probably wouldn’t stay there again as it was a bit noisy in the dining area as the music was overbearing Asked for it to be turned down a few times Breakfast was included in our price and it was ok Few choices but nothing that great. We ate in their dining room for tea on the first night Ordered a pizza each Unfortunately my husband got food poisoning from it so it wasn’t very nice We won’t be back.

Couple of issues with the room. The TV wasn't working properly but it was fixed. The kettle inside the cupboard didn't work due to the power cord. Ok when removed and plugged into a wall socket. 8th

Air Conditioner did not work, glass door on window would not shut and restaurant was short staffed. Coffee with breakfast was a cup of hot water with an Instant Roast satchell beside cup.

Lovely boutique hotel. Nice facilities. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. A well stocked bar with good pub grub at good prices. Great location, very handy to RAC arena and the Convention Centre.

As above. I felt the experience was reminiscent of Faulty Towers. There was no one present at reception on guests departure. Just a pile of keys left behind. I will not be returning.

Staff were friendly but over worked. No one had time to stop and get me some soap so I could shower ! Yes, the supply of toiletries for the bathroom was completely overlooked. The reception area is difficult to locate and staff are distracted/absent by also being required to serve behind the bar. Apart from that, I enjoyed my stay ( once I finally managed to get some soap).

Nothing we did not like.The property is heritage listed , with a new addition added which can’t be seen from the front. A real conundrum! We loved it all.

Wow factor on entering room, beautiful black marble bathroom with full size bath and rain shower, big room with decor in keeping with old building. We were in new addition, two rooms on our floor with lift. At end of St George’s Terrace so perfect for malls, city, station. Staff very friendly and helpful, Brekky awesome.

There was a smell in the room and the room was not super cleaned. As well I would have appreciate more choice for teas than just black tea.

Instant coffee or you are charged for a real coffee at breakfast... The carpet wasn't really vacuumed. Safe didn't work for the duration of the trip. AC noisy and occasionally tripped requiring resetting by the staff.

The television did not work, it would not connect to wifi. Spent ages trying to sort it but gave up in the end. The room we stayed in had a neon flashing light in front and the blinds did not completely cover the ever changing neon flashes

I loved the old world charm of the hotel and its beautiful decor. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We asked for an early check in so as not to have to drag our suitcases around and they were more than happy to let us as they were able to. Breakfast of Eggs Benedict, tea and coffee was a good breakfast.

Lack of parking. This also impacted the convenience of check-in. Awkward taking luggage from street parking to the hotel. The 15 minute parking bays were occupied. The cleaning materials smell in the room.
