Traffic noise was terrible, hit was the worst part of our stay. One room faced the road this was really bad for traffic noise especially the trams. The other room was also very noisy with refuse collection and general traffic.

Hotel had a lovely old world feel, like stepping back in time. The decor and ambiance was great. The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was good, and the rooms were beautiful.

Didn’t ask, but would have preferred a room closer to lift (arthritis!). I tried to use the upgrade option from a Booking.com email, but it wouldn’t work. We’ve stayed here many times before. In the past reception staff have known this and acknowledged it, with small courtesies … Not so, this time … Don’t “expect” it, but it’s nice when it happens …

I special request was made for free parking but I just found out my friend had to pay $30. Very disappointing to hear this. Also the booking included free breakfast but the The Hotel Windsor staff did not honour this

1)There was no supporting rail/bar to assist in getting in and out of the bath. This was definately an issue that needs to be addressed. 2)Please include a few chairs, other than stools, in the Cricketer's Bar.

The little alcove for coffee making was dark and the lights not working. For the price of the room, a small pod coffee machine would have been more appreciated than the cheap instant sachets. I had to ask for milk as there was none in the room. The towels in the bathroom were on a rack above the bath and too high for me to reach. The shower in my room was over the bath and as a 73yo I felt it too hazardous to climb in and out wet so forwent a shower. The floors are old timber and even though the ceilings are at least 12 foot high the timber creaking from other levels were obvious with walking about. The food was nice but service for breakfast could've been quicker. Service by staff was exaggerated when it came and very formal. Napkins were placed on customer laps long before any food served.

This is a heritage listed building and the decor is amazing.

The bed rolled away from the wall. You couldn’t sit up in bed. The room was too hot and the air temperature couldn’t be changed. It was also a very noisy airconditioning unit.

Arrival parking can be a little tricky if traffic is busy with limited drop off spots, however vigilant Concierge does a great job. This includes assistance with luggage and alternative parking which is nearby. Try to avoid peak hours.

Another wonderful stay at the historic Windsor hotel which is in a great location. We value cleanliness and comfort, and the hotel excels in both. As well, the staff were very helpful and courteous. Breakfasts were delicious and The Windsor is surrounded by many dining options. We look forward to returning again.

My daughter booked one night for our anniversary and I booked a second night. It seemed to cause a lot of confusion. I rang to confirm then at check in confirmed again, the next morning someone just walked into our room luckily I had the chain on the door. I explained again that we had back to back bookings and that I had confirmed twice. I asked if he wanted us to check out and check back in again he said no need too. We were out all day and someone rang my daughter asking her to pay for the second night. I think this is unacceptable as could be a breach of privacy. I paid on my return to the hotel, don’t know why they just didn’t call me. Everything else was great that was annoying as I rang and then confirmed twice. Regards Helen Chaplin

The room reserved was not correct to the one we received. In description said the bed there were 2 queen size beds but received a queen-only one.

The location is in the middle of the city, facilities are very good. The staff's assistance and decision making was very impressive, even though the room we received may not be as originally reserved.

The hotel to be fair is old. The furniture in the room was old and dated with a broken drawer handle. The fridge leaked and not enough tea or milk was left each day.

It’s obviously in a great location. The bedding and towels were changed regularly. The room was adequate.
