Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe ventilation system makes a high pitched whirring sound after you use your bathroom fan. It's connected to central ventilation next to the lifts I think. I had to prop my door open a bit so it wouldn't make the noise.
Location was really good, close to tram stop, easy to get around, restaurants nearby. The room was very comfy, had a lovely balcony with a nice view, was great for my 3 night stay. The hotel also has a luggage keeping service if you need after checkout.

New ZealandNo toaster in the room, given tea and coffee facilities and good sized fridge. We bought one and left it there! Wind tunnel noise effect in room 1204. We had a horrible first night, which was easily fixed when we mentioned it at the counter the next morning! Put towels at the door to block the wind under the door. But not mentioned on check-in and anyway, no extra towels for this! Please put a draught stopper on the door or at least tell the customers about the issue and remedy!!! Smoker guest on balcony next door was really unpleasant. too.
Helpful staff - provided information immediately, and responded to requests. Great location with free city transport adjacent. Would stay again.

Australiaaccess to parking did not match description. there was a significant walk between the parking and accommodation, it was difficult to access and even though I had booked a park, I initially did not have access to it. The accommodation should be more clear about how the parking facilities work before booking as this played a large part in my decision to go with this hotel.

Very helpful and accommodating staff. We had to book an unexpected overnight room and the staff were so prompt in getting the room ready for us. It was standard room, very clean and supplied with extras of what we needed. The location is fantastic. Straight up walk to the city centre and easy access to public transport.
