How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There is very limited parking available which is no mentioned on booking.com. They have about 10 spaces, so if you don’t manage to get one you will have to pay to park on the street between 8-5 or you can park for 3 hours for free at the supermarket but it’s quite far to walk with luggage. The sofa is very uncomfortable and was covered in a bed sheet, presumably because of the state of it. It also had hairs all over it. The rooms are very outdated and need a good Reno. I’ve stayed in plenty of motels around this price and this was definitely one of the worst.
The receptionist was lovely, hot shower and beds were okay.

Nice and close to the PA hospital. The staff are wonderful as I checked in on Easter Monday they gave the information I needed to get my room key.

Excellent service. I arrived late and missed the email with instructions. The hotel took my call after hours regardless and were most helpful. The room was basic but clean and secure.

The beds are a little uncomfortable but nothing else other then that.
The staff are very friendly and will help you if you need any. They also make sure you have a wonderful stay and treat you with respect.

Due to being winter. Maybe extra blankets but other then that no issues at all.
This was the second time I stayed as I had an early appointment at the PA Hospital and found it great as I was able to make it to my appointment on time.

Location rather bright and noisy at night, but not the fault of the motel.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal location to attend Princess alexandra hospital.

Beds could be updated but other then that no complaints at all.
Didn’t get breakfast as I left early. Great location as I had an appointment at the PA early in the morning. Close to shops. Has secure parking at night time. Lovely friendly staff on arrival. Will be staying here again.

There was only one out of the 3 nights where a few people got a bit rowdy. But other than that it was all good.It was nrl magic round weekend.
Very close to shops & public transport. Most importantly, nandos & oporto. Only 5 minute walk to train station.

The decor is a bit dated.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. I arrived late and was easily able to access room as per their instructions. I would definitely stay there again. Rooms are spacious, and everything was clean. Very close to Princess Alexandra Hospital, with plenty of good food options in easy walking distance.

Loose shady tenants co-located at the property. On one night I was awoken early hours of morning by a domestic violence situation in nearby room. I had to call police who attended quickly. Mgmt did eject the guests of that room.

I was there for PA hospital visit. Proximity to everything including PA hospital. very convenient. value for money too. the staff was so kind, not only allowing me to check in early but also very helpful, providing me very needed information about PA hospital.

Only negative is the beds are a little hard but that’s all.
It’s nice a close to the PA hospital as I had an appointment at 7am. The staff are lovely and where able to accommodate my needs in giving me a room on ground level as unable to walk up stairs at the moment.

Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy base to be able to get around the city especially with two young kids. Great parkour setup in the park next door. Neat, clean and tidy with secure parking. 👌
