The doona in the main bedroom could have fitted the cover better. (I think the doona was a double and the bed and cover were a queen size) nothing that wasn’t fixed by putting a blanket over the bed.

Location was great. Café, restaurants and shops were just around the corner. We could walk to the ocean. All other activities were a short drive away. Michael the owner was great. He texted when we arrived to make sure everything was okay and then again after we left.

First felt a little bit worried about being asked to pay a bond as it never happened in the past. However, the host was very good and gave us a receipt, and after we stayed the bond was paid back quickly.

Great location, close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Lovely property with modern kitchen and bathroom. The WiFi speed is excellent.

There were so many board games in the cupboard, we didn’t have time to try them all!

Fantastic location within a few minutes’ walk of the cafés, restaurants and beach of Cowes. The kids loved having a bubble-bath spa each night. Loved the secure garage space for the car, open-plan top floor and high ceilings.

The key issue was the dirty, unclean and unhealthy state of the property which was presented, and would not be satisfactory for any reasonable person. This was was clearly evident within minutes of our arrival at the property and we quickly established that the accommodation was unfit for our potential stay and did not meet the description as presented on booking.com. The nature of the accommodation offered was clearly substandard and unsatisfactory for that advertised, and this was a misrepresentation of the quality and state of the property, which cost over $300 per night. We left the property within 30-40 minutes of arrival and did not utilise any facilities. Whilst the owner offered to have property cleaned and engaged cleaner it was clear that any such remediation works would be extensive and in our view unsatisfactory being both a further and lengthy inconvenience and loss of enjoyment on our behalf. A number of the issues evident could not be resolved quickly. These included but not restricted to: • Kitchen area – food scraps on floor in numerous spots • Fridge – food and liquid spills; food scraps and mould; and hair evident inside • Microwave – food splattered and scraps inside • Oven – used tray and baking paper full of grease inside; dirty on front, oven door interior dirty • Cutlery – top 2 draws, food scraps and hair evident; food and/or liquid spills evident; dirty cutlery • Sink – not clean, grime on taps and basin clearly uncleaned • Bin – lid filthy from food scraps and/or liquid spills • Pantry – numerous dirty and out of date items, tea or coffee spills There were serious shortcomings with the accommodation and whilst we endeavoured to negotiate for a resolution with both the owner and booking.com neither satisfactorily addressed our concerns.

Front light not working, unit is a little dated, could have been a little cleaner, utility draws not clean , pantry is smelly, doonas on the double bed could do with being replaced, sheets on bed also do with being replaced, Rubbish bins could do with a good clean, they were very smelly & smell drifted into the unit.

I thought our baby could use the yard but it was concrete and gravel so my children didn’t use the yard at all and therefore we needed to leave the Accom to give them exercise or have some outdoor time which wasn’t ideal with a toddler who naps but it was very close to everything so walking a short distance outside for a play was not a problem when it fit in our schedule.

very child friendly. From inbuilt baby gate, free portacot to use, huge bath, large living area, children’s books and toys for use, it really felt like a home away from home and when the kids are well taken care of mum and dad can relax!

Certain appliances didnt work, including the spa, wire front door from the inside and front porch light.

Location was brilliant and having the living area upstairs was fantastic.
