Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaMy only concern was that Booking.com prices were advertised in American dollars and I did not realize when making the booking, so it was a shock when the amount I paid was a lot more than listed. As it is advertised in Australia for Australian accommodation, it should be listed under Australian dollars.

AustraliaNo tv reception with local channels but were advised of this before we arrived and said we could bring own cables etc and able to log into Netflix etc on smart tv if we had an account. This wasn't a problem for us and didn't really care about tv, as just went to clubs and pubs to watch footy finals!😀
The living area was very large and open, lovely sunny aspect in the morning. All clean facilities and good shower, comfortable bed and nice decor. Very quiet position. 15-20 min stroll into shops, pub, surf club, beach etc. About a 10 min walk to Bowls Club sport complex with great meals. All very suitable for our 2 night stay. Didn't meet or see the owners of property, but they communicated well via messages with all information we required and gave a mobile to phone if any problems or questions.

They welcomed us into their home like we were family and we didn't want to leave. 2 minutes away from all the shops and the beach but without all the noise that comes with being that close to a busy holiday spot. We loved this little oasis it was so quiet, private, comfortable, extremely clean and relaxing. It was an easy and quick walk into town, the beach and to the carlo sandblow. The apartment has everything you need and exceeded our expectations. Great Communication with the hosts and we loved all of there local recommendations of what to see and do in Rainbow Beach and some amazing recommendations on where to eat. It was just perfect in every way and we wished we had more than two nights but we will definitely be back.

AustraliaAfter a very warm 27 degree winter day, the very 'cool' shaded apartment became exceptionally cold during the evening and we asked the host if it was possible to have a heater. She initially agreed and then subsequently withdrew the offer, suggesting that if we were uncomfortable then she would provide only a partial refund for the second evening if we left the property. She told us in a very passive aggressive way that she wouldn't want her guests to be uncomfortable and immediately referred to T's & C's and her need to cover 'booking fees' rather than find a sensible solution (what a joke!). We again asked for some heating other than having to resort to going to bed to keep warm. She refused and countered by insisting that we leave the property. We finally managed to negotiate a 95% refund for the second evening and decided under the circumstances it was best to leave. She finished off in the morning by saying she would call the police if we didn't leave by 9:30am. It was a absolute masterclass in exceptionally poor customer service and how quickly to escalate a simple request for a heater beyond all reasonable proportion which was further compounded by an attempt to take money that was not due to her.
