The room looks exactly as pictured on the website - modern, with incredible interior design. And the bathtub is the highlight of the room - it's so spacious and luxurious, making you feel like you're staying in a 5-star hotel but we paid for a bred and breakfast! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was super delicious with the best coffee in town. This is one of the best parts of our journey because of the memorable hospitality! The Barracks is a one of a kind accommodation in Triabunna with welcoming hosts in John and Kim who offered us a glass of wine and cheese platter on arrival. The restoration of the buildings is stunning and full of character. Our room was warm and cosy with exceptional facilities. Breakfast was lovely and we would have liked to stay longer.

Absolutely brilliant! The Triabunna Barracks are a must-visit for anyone interested in history. The B&B is a lovingly renovated former soliders' barracks, and the work has been done to an impeccable standard. The breakfast was outstanding, our hosts were friendly and informative, and we greatly appreciated the drinks and cheese platter on arrival. We can't wait to come back!

John and Kim were super friendly and knowledgeable re: local attractions. Their service and eagerness to help was wonderful. The breakfast was great and their knowledge of the history of the site (as well as local attractions) was fascinating. We loved our stay and were sad to leave.

The owners had completed renovated an 1840’s barracks to the most incredible standard. Every detail had been meticulously thought out. I was truly amazed at the workmanship. Everything was extremely comfortable including our king size bed. The breakfast was fantastic - freshly cooked and loads of choice. I could not recommend this accommodation more highly.

Triabunna barracks was one of the most lovely, heart warming places we have ever stayed anywhere in the world. We were greeted on arrival by Kim and John, with a platter of local treats and drinks. Their hospitality made this space feel like a home for us, with exceptional touches such as homemade granola and preserves fruit, a cooked breakfast and an honesty bar. Every detail of this space has been well thought out and handpicked by Kim and John, you can see and feel how much they put into creating an unforgettable experience for their guests. It’s location means it is a 1 minute walk to the ferry terminal for those going to Maria Island, as well as being next door to the pub, a walk to the IGA and close to great seafood at the Fish Van. The room itself had a huge, comfortable bed and beautiful big bath. There are plenty of windows for natural light with nice garden views, as well as little touches such as bath robes to make you feel at home. This space is definitely an experience that you have to feel for yourself! Kim and John have extensive knowledge of the area and surrounds and are so welcoming. We had a lovely stay and would go back many times over.

Incredible, thoughtful renovation of a historic property. Every detail of our stay was fantastic - from the room to the huge breakfast featuring local produce and homemade bread. The ferry for Maria Island is less than 50m away. The owners were lovely and gave lots of useful tips for our trip.

John and his wife were so accommodating. The room was exceptionally clean and has really beautiful little touches for a more than comfortable stay. The bed is also super comfortable and the bath is an extra luxurious touch! There is also a lot of interesting history being a heritage listed site.

Not a reflection on the property. But there are limited options for things to do and for dining in Triabunna. Still a great spot to stay if you are heading to Maria island or just want to relax.

Exceptionally well-done accommodation. The renovation of this property has been done very well. The service was great. The rooms were well appointed. The beds were comfortable. Overall it was great.
