How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Allocated a room away from traffic noise. Facilities suited my needs for overnight stay at a moderate price. Pleased the staff turned the heater on - was a cold day!

No bench or tablet to put toiletries or a change of clean clothes, kitchen area crampt, tv remote difficult to to workout functions.
It was clean and smelt clean, private bathroom as traveling with a friend not a spouse.

Only gripe was the placing of the hairdryer, didn’t quite reach for a right handed person. Plus the bathroom needs finishing off it had nails poking out of the wood near the ceiling.
Our stay at Tudor House Motel Shepparton was very clean and comfortable and quiet.

The family room is at the Main Street. Surprisingly rather noisy, didn’t realize such a busy town and street.
Easy check in and out. Staff is friendly. Place is clean and have all the essentials. Perfect for our overnight stay.

-Ran out of moisturiser in the dispencer -shower head in shower kept falling down. Wasn't able to tighten it as it was broken. -the tv didn’t have all the channels to view -checkout was 10am however we got woken up at 7:30am to confirm check out time. -I pay in full upon booking and yet when we checked out the owner hadn't processed payment.
-Convenient to the location I was hosting an event. -That I could collect keys anytime -Neat and Tidy -Friendly staff and owners.

That cleaning staff were standing at the room at 2 minutes past 10am with all there cleaning products waiting to get access. Although we were packing the last of our items in the car and we were ready to go, It made us feel awkward and rushed, with staff hanging around waiting.

Exposed-brick walls. But this is NOT a deal-breaker. Smoker smoking in front of own room door. But I think we smelled the smoke only cos we didn’t realise the window was slid open in position slightly.
Family running the business lives there too which was a comfort factor for us. Most travellers likely prefer total quiet. But for city folks like us, the little bit of activity and sounds was another comfort factor for us, cos it means people are within reach; live is happening as we snooze. Eg. Those who travel amid work stay there (I assume that’s what’s happening as the person we saw had visibility vest on as he went in and out of his room).

I thought the price was a bit steep for the quality compared to other Motels I have used of a similar age.
The Tudor (Name soon to change I believe) has been renovated recently and is clean and comfortable. The shower and bathroom had easy access to soaps and conditioner. The heating was a quiet Split system unit in a main room that had plenty of bench space for luggage and work space for my laptop. The Motel is close to the RSL which was great for dinner and a beer.

Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable to the point me and my daughter couldn’t sleep for most of the night.
