Not a single thing

It was wonderful to drive down the road and see ahead a glimpse of the solitude we seeked for a weekend away. We were greeted by the lovely Wendy, who showed us the lay of the land, the room is so warm and inviting, straight away putting us at ease. I cannot recommend Tukawyl highly enough. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Tukawyl is 6k away from Australia Zoo, and only 15k from the Glasshouse Mountains. The accommodation is attached to the owner’s home, and features a bedroom, small kitchen, bathroom and living room, and a private patio area. The property is clean, well furnished, and very comfortable. The kitchen includes a kettle, toaster and fridge, so you can prepare the buffet breakfast that is included. The house is at the end of a long private lane, which means that the wildlife is on the doorstep, including a small family of Kangaroos, who visit the garden each day, and stunning birds including Kookaburras and Glossy Black Cockatoos. This owned by Wendy and Steve Heinrich, who are the most charming and hospitable hosts. Thanks both, we had a fabulous stay.

The shower uses tank water, so you need to take a very quick shower. It's a rural property though so what can you do.

The accomodations were spacious and cozy and very clean. The beds were soft and comfy. There was plenty of lighting at night. The hosts were helpful and polite. And the location is amazing, I heard kookaburras at night and woke up to see them in the morning. For the price this beats staying in any hotel after a long day at the Zoo.

Great location in Landsborough. Lovely property with comfortable bed, great bathroom facilities and tasty breakfast supplies included. Friendly host and wonderful to see kangaroos roaming in the garden.

It is a tad difficult to get into town, although there is a lovely taxi driver that drives you wherever you need to know this can be a bit expensive

an absolutely beautiful place to relax and unwind! Wendy was very welcoming when we arrived. waking up to the sounds of birds was much better then the sounds of traffic and people. bed was super comfortable, room was comfortable, just perfect!

Tukawyl Retreat is amazing! The accommodation is a self-contained unit with living room, bedroom, bathroom and a little kitchenette - perfect for one or two people. The set-up is ingenious and really takes advantage of the space. The location is also incredible - in the middle of the bush with kangaroos and wild birds on the doorstep, but also close to places such as Australia Zoo, Maleny Botanic Garden and Bird World, and Sunshine Coast. Wendy is also such a lovely host and made me feel welcome and comfortable.

This property is situated in lovely bushland with kangaroos on the door step and only the sounds of nature for music.

Everything was good and we enjoyed our two night stay. We appreciated the friendly hosts and their welcoming us to Australia!

We began our month-long trip to Australia by staying in this beautiful area. I was sorry we didn't have more time here as it was one of my favorite places we visited. The breakfast was not a sit-down hot meal, but rather elements were provided for us to fix breakfast in the room. This worked well for us, as we were able to quickly get started on our day. We loved the location with all the wildlife that visited us at various times. The kookaburra chorus that awakened us in the morning was terrific! It was a short drive into town for dinner. It was a great place to stay for a visit to Australia Zoo or the Glass House Mountains.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

A substantial continental breakfast was provided and included in the tariff. Very spacious, clean and comfortable accomodation off the beaten track in an idyllic bush setting.

Very relaxing place with wildlife at your doorstep, birdlife everywhere. The room is very private. There is a great selection for breakfast. Good shower and bathroom and a very comfortable bed all make this the perfect place to stay in this area. Location is great for exploring the Glasshouse Mountains which was our main interest. But there is so much more to see in the area that is easily accessible from Landsborough. The pub in town serves excellent dinners and Maleny, up the road a bit, has a lot of good places to eat as well.
