I simply couldn't have wished for anything more! Kim gave me such a warm welcome, and I instantly had a good feeling about the place. When I entered The Loft, I was very pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation. I could fault nothing. Every care had been taken to provide those little extras. The decor was very tasteful, and the design of the apartment was well thought out. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I enjoyed a relaxing soak in the bath, which was a welcome addition to an already lovely bathroom. The kitchen and lounge room were both fabulous, too, with so much thought given to what a guest might appreciate. Then the view from the private balcony... stunning! After pouring myself a glass of wine, I wandered down to the river, which was literally a minute's stroll. The peace and tranquillity were just what I needed. It was lovely to sit and watch the wallabies come out as the sun set and to hear the birds overhead. The Ulverstone River Retreat is just that, the perfect retreat. I could have stayed forever. I'll definitely be back and will stay longer next time!

Ulverstone River Retreat is an excellent place to wind down and relax. The location and views are perfect. The Cabin had a large veranda overlooking the river. We felt like we were the only ones there.

Kim and Anthony were the most pleasurable and friendly hosts , the accommodation was set up above and beyond they have thought of everything to make your stay so stress free and enjoyable ,location was tranquil and scenic but still close enough to Ulverstone town centre but also other nearby towns in NW region Even had some entertainment happen on the river :)

Great quiet location, close enough to everything with really comfortable beds. We feel that Kim and Anthony really understand how to make people feel comfortable and relaxed and they are very hospitable and congenial hosts.

Location by the river, so quiet and peaceful yet just 5 minutes or so into town. Lots of space in the apartment. Cheese platter on arrival (yum)

The owners were friendly and accomodating. The accommodation was well thought out and equipped with everything you could require on your stay. The bed was also very comfortable. It was a great example of what accommodation should be.

Scraping the barrel but the noise of other clients upstairs was tolerable because they kept the same hours as us.

The location was brilliant. Although we overshot it at first, we appreciated the idea of low key-a retreat. Thoughtfulness towards their clients visit was first class

No Wifi signal. And the fragrance sticks inside the room were very strong and intense - had to remove them from the room as I was almost getting a head ache from the smell.

Location by the river, very quiet, you only hear the birds sing and there are some Wallabies stopping by at night. Hosts were very friendly and the shower was good.
