Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomTook quite a bit of finding, sat nav had us there but very bad signage didn't even say Mercure had to go in and ask if it was correct hotel. Didn't have us down for correct rooms or breakfast included which we had booked. But staff sorted us even though it was late by that time!

United KingdomAir on unit in the room functioned but was very noisy and the sliding door to the balcony is stiff and heavy to open.😏
The staff were amazing. Allocated us a room with a view and helped with an issue with the bill. Food in the restaurant was beautifully cooked and presented. Great location for Roma street parkland which is quite simply stunning and breakfast at the Carriage building at the bottom is a must.🤗🤗

AustraliaWe found the driveway very difficult to find when checking in. More signage at ground level would be helpful. The carpark took concentration as there is not much room to manoeuvre. The low score for beds is because our preference is for harder beds so that is likely just personal taste, they did look new and in good condition. The room was a bit small for twin beds though.
Location and parking availability. The Italian restaurant was very nice.

AustraliaManager that took my call was flippant and unprofessional. When I asked why I received a room next to the elevator when the booking platform said there where 7available rooms if the type I booked, his reply was that I should have asked not to be placed by the elevator. In all my years of traveling, I have never had to nor felt the need to request such a thing. More was the approach he took. I choose to ask to deal with the lady at reception who moved me to another room without any issue.

Australiathe only problem this time was construction, and I wanted to sleep in in st morning after a long week at work and night out, it didn't happen as work started at 7 am accompanied by workers' loud rap music. I just wish this info would be on site before booking as I would choose a different option for this particular stay, other than that no complains
