How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Blankets were a bit thin for winter, every room has a heater though.
Perfect layout for my family. Great for the price. The lady at check in was nice and helpful.

The blankets were very thin, too thin for winter. But the heaters worked. No recycling bin in the apartment. Only 1 recycling skip bin in facility Showers could be better. The venting machine charges $4 for a $2.50 bottle of water and no change or products available for $1.50. Scam Apartment has 6 bedrooms but only 5 seats in the living room. Cups were dirty. Kitchen minimally equipped.
Set up is great. Rooms are well equipped, single bed , desk and good chair. Close to university of western Sydney and Rosehill Racecourse.

Just little unhelpful things such as no bathmats, and no hand towels. Fortunately there were a few spare towels, so they ended up on the floor as bathmats and so on. It would also have been good to know that there would be no soap. We had to go and buy some so that people could shower and wash their hands. While we understand that this is essentially student accommodation - so we were cool about slightly scuffed edges etc - if you're going to rent it out it people for a weekend they're probably not going to being soap!
It was in a great location close to where we needed it for a wedding, and although it was pretty basic it was clean and functional with lots of beds for the bridesmaids etc. The village reception staff were also very helpful before and during our stay.

I book 2x 6 bedroom floor for my group. Each room is very spacious. They also have great amenities such as water boiler or tea, coffee as well.

The list is endless! The rude staff, the dirty room, the lack of respect from other people staying. The rooms were dirty at best, the kitchen / lounge smelt dreadful. The bathroom had mould and was filthy. Non-smoking? Not a chance! The uncomfortable bed… The noise was next level - people standing in the court yard talking to others on speaker anywhere from 23:30 to 4am. Think again before handing over $$ to stay here - it’s a complete rip-off!
The only good thing is it’s proximity to campus.

when I had arrived I had a lovely young gentleman whom, assisted my family and I settle in our rooms. He showed us through the fire safety plan, showed us around the room, and gave us useful information like contact numbers for staff and have us our keys. not happy with the stairs to get to our room. it was inconvenient when have luggages and young children. Good workout though, Rooms where very neat and clean, the whole place itself was clean and Tidy. balcony fly screen was broken and sliding door was also broken. Spoke to the young gentleman about the fly screen and screen doors and he offered to move us. But the next day which I declined due to us already there already. Unfortunately there is no FREE Wifi but you can pay for a daily usage of it. You just have to sign up to a webpage and follow the steps. There was No hand soaps in the bathroom, No bathroom floor Towels, bathroom vents didn’t work and it gets really steamy and wet when using the shower. Bring all your essentials items from toiletries because those items aren’t provided. Each bedrooms had fans which was great, but the fans was on a very low in height so just watch your head. Having a car during your stay is a must, location is far from shops, Westfields Center and train station.

No everything was well
Blessed with this appartment, generous in size and our boys enjoyed having their own space. Facilities were perfect, felt safe and secure. Check-in & check out so simple 😊
